2002 discount before Easter?

Does anyone know if there were any discounts (AP, code, etc) available the week before Easter (ie, arriving Thursday before Palm Sunday) this last Spring? That's the time I want to go in 2004 and am trying to predict if the black out will be applicable. In 2001, I was able to get an AP discount for the Polynesian concierage ($240 a night!) by arriving days before Palm Sunday so I made it before the black out on discounts.

If anyone remembers or has any idea, I would appreciate it. I just saw the rack rates. Thanks, Carolyn from NJ

I don't know the answer but what a great rate at the Poly for that time period. I check this year for Easter week and it's like $400 a night, no discounted rate.

Needless to say, we're staying elsewere on site. I just couldn't pay that price.

Hi Mary Anne, are you going April, 2004? I think 2001 was a good year for discounts but also we would not have been able to get the AP Discount if we didn't arrive before the black out period. Are you planning to arrive before Easter or after? Thanks, Carolyn

We were there for Easter this year. We arrived the Friday before Good Friday and we did not get a very good discount. My parents arrived the week before us and they had a great AP rate, but we had just the DC rate which was no great savings. It was only for two nights as we were conserving points by paying for the first two nights of the trip. I believe the AP rate ended on the Monday before we arrived.
