20% off Orbitz code, details in post!!

I just returned from Pop Century last week and my room was booked with Orbitz. No issues at all, got both of my room requests. Was able to schedule ME.

I had gotten the room for 3 nights @ $85/nt, plus they were running a promo for $60 in Orbucks towards a future stay (anywhere, not just Disney)

You just need to email them a couple of days after you make the res so you can get your Disney reservation number to link it to MDE (the number they originally give you is an Orbitz number and won't link).

I bought park tickets through them too (with the ebates deal), and that also was easy enough to link (also had to get the code from them).

For the savings, it was totally worth it!

I booked a Ft Wilderness Cabin a couple if days ago and Orbitz sent 2 reservation numbers, one was to use for MDE. It worked without a problem.

I just want to double check, so if I book my hotel through Orbitz and get my park tickets, then I can still book my FP+ 60 days out?
But if I cancel I don't get money back on the tickets, but just the hotel?

Correct. You can book at 60 days. The tickets are non-refundable from Orbitz. But tickets are valid forever, so you can save them.

Alternatively, you can purchase tickets from Undercover Tourist, which I *think* allows returns on tickets for a small fee.

Booked a LM room through Orbitz last night for Dec 29th - $170-something after the discount so a total of $200-something. WDW was asking $230 something.

Now I have to decide if I want to keep the reservation vs my original plan of staying off site for about $45 (killer deal on a cheap Comfort Inn).

Just sign up for an Orbitz account. You will receive email notifications of sales and promo codes, as well as be able to earn points that can be used toward future bookings.

I just signed up for their Rewards Program. Is that what you mean by signing up for an Orbitz account? It's the only thing I saw for signing up. Will this get me emails on upcoming deals?

OP here, so glad I could help out others to get them a little extra discount on their Disney hotel. If you use their Rewards program, always book via the mobile app to get the most % back.

Yes, please send me special offers and discounts.
Make sure the deals and information you received from Orbitz coincide with departure city or airport code.

This will be found under "E-mail settings."

Thanks again - I saw this here and on FB and decided to check it out last night for kicks and decided to book to give me time to talk to DH. Today I checked again and LM rooms are sold out for my date. So glad I booked last night!

I booked on Thursday and got the additional 20%. With the discount from WDW and Orbitz I've saved $500 over rack rate. I'm taking my DD for her 16th birthday and it falls in March. We usually travel in August or January and have gotten very used to value season rates. March is approx 40% high and I felt like it was too expensive for a value resort room. Needless to say I'm thrilled to have been able to get this discount.

I linked through Ebates and earned $40 plus I also got $28 in Orbucks.

:(

I just came back to start looking for deals for a trip for June 2015...
has this already expired?
Never booked through Orbitz before!

There aren't any codes out yet for June, as far as I know.

We're going for our annual winter pilgrimage in February. Almost (but not quite) makes me look forward to winter - yuk!!!

I have used and did use Orbitz for this trip - and got a good rate. That said, this is not a company I trust very much. Some things about their site can be misleading and I've found that they have poor customer service (if god help you you ever need to speak with a 'live' person, from overseas I might add). Just try and find a phone number! You also need to be aware that while the room reservations can be cancelled w/o charge, any add-ons that you buy may not be refundable (i.e. tickets).

I buy a lot of stuff online. Occasionally I've had a problem or need to return something. I must say, that for the most part I have found online purchasing to be hassle free (especially Amazon, which I think is probably the most accommodating, customer friendly company I have ever dealt with). When you get a good price and everything works out smoothly, then you may think a company is great to deal with. But ... the proof is when you have a problem. That is how I would describe Orbitz. You can get a good deal but just hope you don't have a problem!

I'm not suggesting avoiding them, you can get a good deal but just warning you to be careful so that you don't get stuck. Read all of the fine print and make sure of what you're ordering.

And remember, even if you have to stress out in finding a good deal and not getting sc@%*$#ed in the process, you can put all that behind you when you experience that 'Disney Magic'.

Have you had a problem that you are referring to? Just curious. I haven't needed to call them yet, but I have used them for years. I have cancelled rooms several times with no issue. I also needed to contact them for the Disney room res #, as well as the magic code to claim my park tickets, all through email though, and found them to be responsive.

I have also been using them for many years for all types of travel. They have always provided great customer service and have helped me countless times with either changed or cancelled plans. I don't feel that Orbitz has ever let me down. That doesn't mean that they haven't let others down - just speaking from my personal experience.
