The TARGET Black Friday Preview Ad says:

"Friday Only: Spend $75 or more and get 20% off one shopping trip between December 1-7"

I am thinking of going to Target to buy $100 of Disney "Entertainment" Cards (and use my $10 off of $100 coupon I got inthe mail) on Black Friday to get the 20% off coupon for a single shopping trip Dec 1-7 - when I then plan to purchase as many Disney Cards as I can.:cool1:

Does anyone know if this will/will not work - any expeience in the past on deals like this?

Thanks!

The first part of your plan should work... people have reported being able to use the $10/$100 coupons on the Disney cards with no problems.

As far as the second part goes... nobody knows yet. Every Target coupon has identical language, but some of them will work on the entertainment cards and some of them won't. As long as you are buying something that you really want/need on BF to get that 20% off coupon, I say it's worth a shot! The entire Budget Board has their fingers crossed that we can use that coupon on Disney cards!

Yes this!!! Wouldn't it be amazing!!

I really hope that we can! I plan to buy Disney, iTunes and restaurant gift cards if we are able to...I'm mostly giving gift cards for Christmas, so it would really help keep the costs down!

I hadn't thought of this. . .gift cards for everyone this year! Sooo much easier, and I know they'll fit and be the right color ;)

I'll buy my folks Burkes cards, so no 20% off there. But for the rest. . .restaurant gift cards all the way, baby!

I tried using the 10.00 off 100.00 or more today and it wouldnt let me..

I tried to use a $15 off $150 coupon from Target's catalog to purchase three $50 Disney gc and the purchase wouldn't go through either for me. Thankfully, a front manager approved the sale (she only saw the total sale of $150 on the screen of the register and didn't know I was purchasing the gc.)

So, we'll all have to wait and see. :santa:

The same thing happened to me when I tried to use one of these coupons.

A couple of months ago I received a 10% off coupon for Target when we moved and had our mail forwarded. I did a pretty big shopping trip and bought some Disney gift cards and an Animal Jam membership (kids computer game) thinking they would be 10% off. Well, they weren't. I got my 5% off for using the red card, but I didn't get 10% off on the cards I bought.

It might be a YMMV, but I wouldn't count on the 20% working on the Entertainment cards as a general rule.

I'm thinking the same thing. Since you can't use the mover's 10% coupon on Disney gift cards, I'm guessing they might code their system to not allow the 20% Black Friday coupon to be used on Disney gift cards(or any other entertainment cards). I'm still hoping they will, though.

I was hoping to use the 20% off on gift cards as well. I told my sister to see what she thought & she ended up texted me at work yesterday with this info: "Saw a copy of the target 20% coupon, you can't use it on gift cards, sorry. No gift cards, iTunes cards, apple, bose, video games, ps4 & xbox one consoles."

I'm not sure where she got the information, but I thought I'd share this info. I love my sister, but I'd like her to be wrong lol.

I'm now planning to buy Target gift cards on Friday to get the coupon, then use the coupon on my regular shopping & pay with the gift cards.

Target classifies Disney (and other "gift" cards) as entertainment cards or specialty gift cards. The fact that they specified iTunes cards separately from gift cards is a good clue that the 20% off MAY work on Disney gift cards.

That's what I'm still hoping for!

Does anyone know how you would get the Target gift cards that are promoted with the Apple products, if purchasing online on bf?

I got a target Gc with online purchase of iPad mini a few months ago. It came in the mail, or maybe ups, can't remember, but it came.

The coupon language on exclusions specifically excludes gift cards, Apple products, Itunes cards, Bose products, video games, PS4, Xbox One, Rx, Optical, Target Mobile, Clinic and alcohol. It also states that the coupon cannot be stacked with other coupons.

in the past on coupons that exclude "gift cards" it has still been possible to use the coupon on "entertainment cards" such as the Disney gift cards
