anybody else order these? Shipping seems to be taking awfully long and he doesnt' respond to my inquiries about it since I paid:(

I have looked into it before but I didn't know if it would be worth it or not. When you get yours let me know what you think!!!!

***if*** I get mine. I waited a year or so to finally decide to get it and now I'm disappointed. It's been 3 weeks and the status is still undelivered and he won't answer my emails. Oddly he always answered them so fast before my order:((

well, over 3 weeks after ordering and many emails inquiring the status, my order was cancelled because they're sold out. This makes no sense since he can just burn more copies? I still never got an email answering any of mine.. and he was always quick to answer me before I paid. I'm discouraged. Does anybody have this set??

Did you order from relive the magic? Because if you did, I had problems with them too.

They ignored my emails and when I threatened to take it up with my cc company if they didn't let me know what was going on, they said that it was taking a long time because of the overwhelming demand. Another week or so went by and I asked if I could cancel and they said sure, but then it still wasn't cancelled. Finally had to threaten them with my cc company again before they finally cancelled it.

Horrible customer service.

I have them from Relive the magic. It did take a while to get them, but I always got a response within 48 hours of my inquiry. They had just been discounted when I ordered them so there was a huge demand for them, but I receives them within like 2 days of them being shipped. They are neat to look at, but I would never have paid full price for them. It helps fill in the time between trips. And it allowed me to decide to ride BTMRR.

well my order was cancelled because they're out of stock. which seriously makes no sense to me whatsoever:(

I don't get that either, they could just burn another set, like you said in your OP.

Maybe they thought they should stop before any legal issues came up:confused3

Just going on a hunch here, but one cannot legally just go into WDW, roll a bunch of tape, burn it to DVD and sell it. Well, one "can" but not without risking the wrath of Disney's legal team. Those mulitple disc sets sold on Ebay have been around in some fashion for several years now. If one were to produce such "unauthorized" sets, one might at some point get a bit nervous about it and think " when these discs are sold, I'm outta here". This stuff is like if you or I were to make WDW video on our camcorders and try to profit from it. Copying it for your nephew is one thing, but auctioniong it on Ebay is quite another.

I got mine from Relive the Magic which has its own web site and I originally saw the ad on Lou Mongello's Disney Trivia site (although I think if he knew of all the problems he might not be endorsing them...).

There have been a few threads about this company and their DVDs here on the DIS. I ordered mine the day after Christmas at a deep discount over the original price. Long story short, I got the run-around for well over a month. The last e-mail they sent me said something to the effect of "There is a good possibility these DVDs will no longer be available in the near future, so at least you will have a set!" That did NOT help my mood...:headache: I got promise after promise of when they would ship. They finally arrived sometime around the 2nd week of February (remember, I ordered Dec. 26!!). Since reading other people's experience here on the DIS, it seems like this is just how they do business, and taking forever to ship is standard fare and really has nothing to do with holidays or recent discounts. Like the other poster said, how are you out of stock on something you manufacture youself??? Behind on orders I understand, but "out" of something and unable to even take the order? Maybe they are on the verge of disappearing (no great loss!).

And many of my DVDs skip....

I could request another copy (well, in theory) but I was so unhappy with the company that I just didn't want to deal with them anymore. When they do skip I just restart whatever ride I'm watching. Annoying but at least it's not every time.

Save your money and get the "real" sets from Disney!

Buying unauthorized material is like buying illegal substances. You probably won't get any customer service, and if you do you are in the "officer this guy ripped me off" mode. I am sorry.

I'm glad I was able to cancel my set then.

They even tried to argue with me. I mentioned that I wanted to cancel because by the time I got the DVDs it would be time for my trip and I wanted to see them before the trip, and they wrote back that most people want them for after the trip and to see it before would ruin the fun. It's none of their darn business why or when I wanted to see the DVDs, just send them!

Ahh, good old relive the magic...took about a month to get mine, then the complete order didn't come, they left out my whole CD order, and then I emailed and they said the cd's were backordered. Yeah, you could have put something in my order telling me that!

Anyways, I have these, and they are good, if anyone wants them I will give them to you for the price of shipping, just email me at beckiet82@gmail.com.

I don't think they are unauthorized.

I had the skipping problem when I used the portable DVD Player, but they seem to work just fine in the regular DVD player.

Is the "real" set really that good? I have been debating about whether to get them or not.
