I got quoted about a 20% room discount through AAA and Discover is running a special where you get 5% back on any vacation related expense (includes hotel, airline, probably food?) anything you put on that discover.

Discover card 5% thing is only good for first $1000 spent on travel expenses. So the most you will get back is $50. It's still better than nothing.

We used Discover to pay for our flights ($1000) and then the rest of the vacation package we used Disney Visa for the 1% mouse bucks.

I Don't know if this helps Costco Amex does 2% on all travel stuffs and 3% on dining.

As for the discount, I think it varies, but the AAA travel agents can tell you for your time

Don't forget that AAA has its own no annual fee Visa. You get periodic rebates ($50 certificates) that you can apply to your final trip payment with AAA.
