? 20,000 leagues future

Does anyone know what is to become of the space that 20,000 leagues once occupied? As of last time we were there (may 2004) still a large wall with no signs of progress.

The area that's being filled in must settle before anything substantial is built on it. The rumor is, at least temporarily, they will build a 100-Acre Wood children's play area to tie in with the Winnie the Pooh attraction close by. This will also serve as a character meet-n-greet area. But, this is only supposed to be a placeholder for what they really want to build. But temporary attractions have a way of becoming permanent around Disney World, like Mickey's Birthdayland, or Mickey's Starland, or Toontown Fair, etc...

No mention of anything specific, but I am sure they will come up with a new E ticket attraction to replace it at some point! I cannot think that it will remain a character meet and greet for too long!

JamesD (HI!!!), is right... that area has to settle before they can really build anything of substance on it! My hope is something in the coaster family!
