I am now official under 60 days and am getting very excited. I booked my excursions today and hve a question for past cruisers.

We are going on the 3 night cruise. My ds is 2 and for Animator's Palate and Triton's I am planning on having him wear khakis and a 3 button polo short. Now for Parrot Cay, I've read resort casual, wear your tropical clothing. Well, I have a really cute tropical outfit that my BIL bought for him in Hawaii, the only problem is that is it a button down shirt and matching shorts. This outfit is not something that I would put him in to go outside and play. Would this be appropriate. I just thought with the tropical theme that it would be perfect, but also respect the code and want both of my children, regardless of age, to be dressed appropriately. Thanks for the help ;)

You can dress your son in whatever you'd like for dinner, it will be appropriate. :) DCL makes a point of saying that for younger kids it's perfectly fine for them to be dressed comfortably. As long as he's not wearing a bathing suit he's dressed correctly. :)

On Tropical night on our Magic cruise, my son along with everyother child and adult were wearing the most festive tropical wear whether it be a short set, shorts and a shirt, or dress. I found that on our cruise, the majority of the diners were outfits they had bought on the Island that day. Your outfit should be perfect!!!!!

Thanks for the responses, I feel better now! He will look cute. My dd had a matching dress to ds' short outfit, but she just outgrew it this year, such a shame. It would of made for some really cute pictures.
