2 year old turning 3 on trip

Help please. We are going in January and my dd will be turning 3 on the 3rd day of our 5 day trip. I just wanted to know before I book how Disney handles this. Is she 2 the entire trip or 3? Thanks

They will consider her as being 2 the entire trip since that will be her age at the time of check in.

Yep that is right. We took our nine year old, and he was considered a child even though we celebrated his birthday at CRT.

our DS turned 3 durning our last trip and he was considered 2 for the length of our stay. A CM told me that they are the age at check in for the entire vacation. Have a great time!

I read a cute description explaining why they do this. People might celebrate birthdays while there, but no one actually AGES while at Disney.

(though a new 21 year old might not like that idea, LOL)

That's so cute! We're checking in the day before DS's 3rd b-day this year and I verified with a CM that he is considered free for the whole trip for admission and dining plan!

our 3 turned 3 while there, and we were told that you are expected to pay for family-style and buffet meals (not dining plan) once they are 3. at least, this is what they told us at Akershus during our b-day celebration, but they didn't charge us

tickets were free..

don't forget to tell front desk staff that you are celebrating a bday (if you are staying on site) and the staff when you make your ADRs.

We are bringing our 2 turning 3 next week. Sad that this is last "free" vacation. Yes, he will be free the entire week!

We told them it was his birthday when we made the resort reservation and when we did the ADR. Hoping Mickey will bring him a cupcake at Chef Mickeys! Can't wait for him to have a great birthday week. Worried the 4 year old will be upset by all the attention on the other one.
