I'm planning to pack

*6 diapers(I will leave a pack in the car just in case)
*mini wipes travel case filled to the brim
*1-2 soy milk individual aseptic packs
*tooth brush and toddler training paste
*2 change of clothes and her swimsuit maybe(its a bikini takes tiny space)
*snacks(goldfish, cheerios, granola bars)
*2 sippy cups(she drinks from regular cup pretty well too though)
*wipeable reuseable plastic type bib
*Purell hand cleaner
*diaper cream though rarely needed is already in diaper bag.
*disinfectant wipes

Maybe some small toys but I don't want them to get lost

I'm hoping to only carry her diaper bag. Most of this stuff I carry on day to day basis already. ;)

We are going week of Sept 5th I don't think we will need a jacket she likes to sleep in cool anyway and rarely uses a blanket anyway.

what am I forgetting????

Honestly I don't think you forgot anything but maybe ponchos and glow sticks.

You are packing more than I do with my 3 girls (2,4 and 6) when we do Hersheypark every week. (Dh always teases that I pack all but the kitchen sink.)

I think you got most everything. How about sunscreen? Or a small toy for any sitdown meals?

idk about your dd, but we take a book everywhere for ds. a book with good pictures will keep him occupied for 20 minutes or more. I think this will come in handy in line!

Also, maybe a hat depending on what type of sunshield is on your stroller? DS hates sun in his eyes.

Oh yes the sunscreen. I have a small travel baby block that I keep in there usually all the time too but took it out for swimming at MIL's a few weeks back though and left it there but I'll stick it in her diaper bag next time we are over there.

I'll probably have one of her hats if they match well and sunglasses too.

I'm thinking some small plastic toys but just have to figure out which one are light and small enough.

I thought about poncho but I'll probably buy her one there if it rains or looks like it might rain at any point in the day I'll stop in and get one. She doesn't have one and loves Mickey so I think I'll get her a Mickey one. ::MickeyMo

Thanks for the couple things I forgot. hehe I know I'm packing all but the kitchen sink you can tell I'm first time mom. :rotfl: Actually I've started going out most of the time with just a diaper or two. AFter months of carrying around change of clothes I never needed I'm finally comfortable going anywhere with out them.

I also think I'll only put one small outfit change in her bag and the other one leave in car in case of emergency need of it we can run to car for it. ;) I don't wanna take too much but really all that is stuff I bring to MIL's all the time in her diaper bag and its not heavy at all.

I have a backpack style diaper bag and most of that small stuff fits in a smaller outer pocket and diapers wipes and changing pad(something I forgot on my list too) with my wallet are in main part of the bag. I really like my diaper bag its denim sturdy and washable. :)

Oh and the disinfectant wipes are sample packs so it takes little room. ;)

We went last year in Oct when my DD was 2: Here's some good tips for packing in the parks:

What about some Juice Boxes? That's a quick and thirst quenching drink. Also, instead of the wipeable bib, bring Bibsters instead: less of a mess. Also for snacks, we did alot of Fruit Snacks. They have Princesses Fruit Snacks. It was a bribe to get my DD to sit in the stroller. At age two, no kid wants to sit in their own stroller "If you sit in the stroller, you get Princess snacks (or Pooh Bear Snacks)!" - Worked like a charm!!

Bring the disposable sippy cups. We noticed we would have one cup filled with milk and then just throw it out an hour later. It would get GROSS otherwise. I'm bringing 3 packs of disposable sippy cups, even this year (and my DD's a whole year older).

I think you can leave the Toothbrush and Toothpaste. I've never seen anyone brush their teeth in the parks.

To save space, you probably only need one change of clothes. Not two.

Also, we didn't do a diaper bag on that trip last year. We would put all that stuff in a big tote type bag and then also carry our own stuff in it: Sunscreen, Bottled Water, Hats, Etc.

Finally, for toys, bring some paper and crayons. Quick and easy and you could care less if they got lost. :)

Have fun! We'll be there that week too.

If you are at MK, it's quite a trek to the parking lot to get a diaper. Take 3 or 4 just in case! :goodvibes Also, if you are REALLY in a bind, the baby care center sells diaper, wipes, and all sort of supplies.

That was about my norm I usually only bring 1-2 diapers to store and other short errands at home. I'm bringing 6 in the park and leaving a pack in the car just in case she uses those 6. She rarely uses more than 4 in a day but at home she goes on potty some days so that saves at home.

Might bring a juice box or too as well but I have to dump them in the cup because she squeezes them all out. Does well with straws just squeezes the boxes. :( I don't give her juice much at home but I probably will at WDW diluted with water because she needs to keep hydrated and drink more fluids I'm sure. ;) I think I'll give her one soy milk box at lunch and dump it in ice cup we get from where ever we eat. Might bring 2nd for dinner. She will drink one sippy of milk on way to the parks I'm sure.

I've been tons of times to WDW when I was 19 and under and I was always the one carrying a backpack so of course I always got "will you hold this?" This time we will have stroller and it can fit in bottom with diaper bag. :teeth:

We were there the 1st week of June this year and it rained every single day. We discovered that they don't sell ponchos for toddlers. We had to buy a big kids poncho and knot it up. It did the trick while my 2 yo son sat in his stroller but it was difficult for him to walk in.

Maybe they ordered some toddler ponchos after our visit but the store clerks made it seem like they've never had them.

Enjoy your trip and I hope you don't get any rain.

Oh. I thought for sure others have talked about toddler sizes. She is 3 ft do you think the child ones will be way to long?

She also has a rain coat perhaps I should just bring that?

I would cut down to 3-4 diapers, one change of clothes, one swim suit, just a couple of snacks and one sippy cup. I would leave the diaper cream in the room if she's not showing a rash. I would also replace the disinfectant wipes with some kind of reusable changing pad since the majority of the changing tables are hard and cold. If your diaper bag doesn't fit under your stroller, then move everything to a backpack that can be hung off the handles.

Didn't read the entire thread, but those disposable placemats were a must for us (17 month old) to avoid dished falling to the floor.

zoesmamma.............you mentioned that your DD sometimes uses the potty. Have you tried the pullups with her? That might help with the amount of diapers you need. She can "go" with you when you do. I have a DS2 and when I pack my fanny pack (which I hate, but I hate to carry a bag too) I pack 4 diapers/pullups with wipes in ziploc bags. I roll the diaper up with the wipe inside. It makes a very small roll. I also like the pampers disposable bibs, they pack easy, very small and you can just throw them away. And I would recommend just one disposable sippy cup. Rinse it out in the bathroom. Have fun!!!

Does she have a lovey/something that she can't leave home without? My DD has a stuffed dog that goes everywhere with us. If she has something like that...don't forget that either!

I also second the suggestions of Bibsters and disposable sippy cups, you don't want to be cleaning anything on vacation!

Also taking DD2, will I need a changing pad? I don't have one packed or on the list. I haven't carried one of those since she was really young.

My ds was just 2 when we went in May (dd was 5) and you are taking tons more than I did, LOL!!!

I used one of those travel diaper kits, similar to this.... http://www.thefirstyears.com/products/product.asp?pValue=4360

I kept it in the basket at the bottom of the stroller so I didn't have to clutter up my bag with the diapers and wipes. I didn't even use a diaper bag, just a nice size Mickey tote bag. It was great to just grab that and run in the changing stations instead of having to dig thru a diaper bag. I still kept some wipes in my tote for meals and such.

We also used those disposable sippy cups and also the disposable forks/spoons that The First Years make. They are so cute and come in handy even for my 5 year old when the restaurant gives them these giant forks to eat with. Here they are... http://www.thefirstyears.com/products/product.asp?pValue=1033

What are you forgetting? You're bringing ten times more than I ever carried -- and I have two children! Seriously, there are two types of travelers: those who pack light and those who wish they had. For a two-year old (assuming half-day, which is our habit), I'd pack 2 diapers, wipes, a small snack, a bottled water with a spout lid, a book and a toy. Nothing else.

2-year olds can drink from straws, which are available at the parks. Toothbrushes at the parks? If it rains, I wouldn't stay in the parks with a toddler. Changing clothes isn't really necessary (if you're really nervous, you could have a change in the car). You'll only be burdened with all this stuff.\

Oh, but you've forgotten the one thing I'd bring even if I brought NOTHING else: a camera.

I have to say that your list sounded good to me, except to add sunscreen and a hat. I would definately bring a change of clothes or two- I know it seems like a lot, but my ds got sick on our way out of Epcot (threw up all over his clothes) and I am so thankful we had clothes for him to get back to the hotel in- everything was closed- we were already past the gates. On the same trip, ds (2 1/2) managed to spill his drink twice in the same day and soak 2 outfits (juice and milk)- though this is definately not the norm. I wouldn't want to have to buy new clothes- I don't like to be put in the position to have to make a purchase of something I may not otherwise buy. One or two outfits won't break your back- if you don't think you need them after the first day or two and you think you are carrying too much, leave them!
