Hi,

I've been trying to plan a Disney vacation for us with a 2 and 4 year old, and noticed that all of the park hopper passes list the kids price as applicable for 3-9 year olds.

Does that imply that 2 year olds get free admission to the parks? What about waterparks, etc?

Thanks,
- Joe

Last I knew:

Yes to Theme Parks
Yes to Water Parks

If not call the CRO (1.800.W.DISNEY) they should be able to answers this question.

Yes 2 yr. olds get into ALL the parks, water and theme for FREE!!!:earsboy:

And don't they get to eat for free at Character buffets?

The only thing we had to pay for with my 2 yo was food that wasnt from a buffet. And souvenirs of course!

i know that some buffets are free for kids under three. we have PS at CP and Cape May and were told that we did not have to pay for DD, who is 2.5.

Last year when we went my son was just getting ready to turn 3, but technically was still 2. It was the best, park admission and all character meals were free!!! Enjoy it now because now my son is three going on four and he's not a freebie anymore! Even at the restaurants that aren't buffets my experience is that one meal and maybe on side order will feed both your 2 and 4 year old. Have fun.

Under three's are great! Everytime we've traveled, one or two of my children were under three! What an awesome savings!!
FREE for all parks and FREE for all buffets, pre-plated meals, and family style meals (basically that covers the character meals and then some!) At a counter service restaurant, you pay for what you order regardless of who will eat it (of course). And at sit down restaraunts where you order items (not buffet, family style, etc.) again you pay for what you order. For example my 2.5 year old was free at all buffets, but at the Rose and Crown we ordere her a kids Fish & Chips meal and we paid the regular kid meal price for it. Hope that helps...

Disney's been a BARGAIN for this family....:rotfl:

1st trip - DD 18 months (FREE!)
2nd trip - DD 2 1/2 and DD 8 months (BOTH FREE!)
3rd trip - DD 4, DD 2 1/2, DS 10 months (2 out of 3 ain't bad! 2 FREE)
4th trip (Dec 04) - DD 6, DD, 4, DS 2 years and 10 months (Still FREE)
5th trip - date unknown....all three kids will be three or older...*sigh* It was good while it lasted! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yep, great isn't it? I'm planning next year's trip for a week before DD's 3rd birthday, I figure we'll be taking plenty of trips and paying for her, so I may as well get in that last "free" one, lol!

We managed 4 trips before DD turned 3. One at 9 months, one at 23 months, 29 months and a again a few weeks before her 3rd birthday. We never were questioned how old she was, but always made sure our server knew at the all you can eat places.

BTW when you use fast pass, you don't need one for the under 3's since they don't have a ticket.

This is too funny, as my third DD is two and I keep thinking that we need to get to WDW before she turns three and we have to pay for her ticket! Not so much of a deal for her with the food, as she eats so little. However, we made several trips with my older girls before they were 3 and they really enjoyed the buffet meals.

We were never questioned on age at the gates of any of the parks, but once at a character meal we were charged. I spoke to the waiter and explained that my rather tall DD was only 2 1/2 and he did not look like he believed me, but he did take the charge off.
Enjoy it while they are young. I think that just under three is a great age to travel. They are old enough to appreciate all the fun stuff!

We went to the icecream social in EPCOT with our 2 year old and were told on the phone that we would have to pay full price for her. However when we got there she was free. She got a bowl of ice cream with gummy worms in it. It was plenty for her. I noticed that children over 3 got a much bigger icecream that looked like a clown. I would recommend the ice cream social we got alot more character interaction then at a normal character meal and it made a great break when the crowds were a little bigger outside.

So all character meals are free for under 3s? We have a PS at Cindy's breakfast and thought we'd be paying for my 2.5 year old niece since it isn't a buffet. That would be great if she's free since she never eats anything anyway!
