2 year old and magic band/tickets

We are travelling with my two year old in Feb. I understand he gets free access to parks. What I was wondering is does he get an actual ticket/magic band?

So if my wife and I booked a FP+ for say Peter Pan do they just need our bands scanned?

We're going this month and we received a magic band for each member of our family (including our 1 year old). I'll have to double check to be sure but I don't think we scheduled any fast passes for him since he didn't have a park ticket.

With the regular fast pass we never needed a fast pass for anyone under 3 so I think it will be the same way with the fast pass+.

Yes he'll get a band I have one for my 2 year old. And as far as FP he won't need one since he doesn't have a ticket. He can go on any ride you're going on that he's tall enough even without a FP

We're along our two year old in Dec. They included a band for her as well even though she doesn't have a ticket.

When you make your Fastpass+ selections you have the option to add your entire group, my daughter was always there in the list but it said on a few places that she didn't need a Fastpass to ride.

I was also pleased that it's easily adjustable-you can separate the colored piece of the band with the black part really easily. It fit my daughters hand tightly enough that I feel confident it would stay on all week, which is what I was worried about.

He doesn't say that they have booked them, he said IF they book them.

You will be able to book FP+ 60 days before your trip.

Yes we re preparing for when we can book fp+. That said we can only link some of our tickets on the disney site at the moment which is a pain. Holiday conpany says its disneys fault and vice versa

My 2 year old got a band to wear also. I thought it was very nice of Disney to include her as she caught on very quickly that sister had a bracelet that scanned and always wanted to try hers. Of course, it didn't do anything but every cast memeber let her "scan" to get into the park. Our only problem was the first day when we did not pay attention when putting them on the girls and they were switched. BTW Disney will ask if you try to get a 5 year old into the park without a working wristband as an under 2. Of course, we all quickly realized what happened and made sure to check the names everyday after that.
For FastPass +, as stated they just ride when you have your time if tall enough. Truth be told, sometimes they only scanned an adult band and not my 5 year olds even.

Had a similar experience as pp in that my daughter wanted to scan her band. Of course it didn't work which she was none too pleased about. It also came off a lot. We ended up not using it after the first day as it serve no purpose other than to aggravate her.

If you are buying a pa gage any time do not link current tickets you may have. I was told we could....it ate our two days for the package then started on the one we added.

I had a huge time costly headache trying to get he two days back. The CM was wrong that the package tickets were on the room key, not the band. I was keeping them for next years AP purchase.

I don't know if this helps, but I just booked our vacation online yesterday and saw where it said to link your magic bands to your reservation so I did. We customized them too.
