Although the memories will live in our hearts...............I took 6 rolls of film on our 2 week trip and guess what???

They are all missing!!! I recall unpacking them, but I think they may have gotten throw away by accident......

I am heartbroken as I use one of those pictures from our trip for our Christmas card................guess I will just have to go back and soon....................

(sorry!! just needed to vent and have a pity party for myself!)

]UPDATE[/B]

I was just cleaning my middle DD's room and guess what I found..........the little WDW bag with 7 rolls of film in it!! Off to Walgreens now for developing before I lose them again....

Thanks for all your sympathies and support!!! Although I still think we need another WDW trip and soon.............hehehehe!!

I feel your pain... We had a similar experience when taking a big trip a couple weeks after 9/11. We hit many places in the NorthEast - but the highlight was Washington DC. We got home, and only about 4 or 5 of the DC pictures turned out - something happened with my shutter. I haven't traveled without my digital camera again...

It's heartbreaking - but at least you know you'll be back to take more... :)

Big time hugs to you! :( I guess you've already called OKW? I had a similar experience a few trisp back. The drugstore messed up one roll of my film. Of course it was the roll I had taken pictures of all the charcters at ToonTown with my littel ones. I hope they turn up! I can sense your pain!

DW's digital camera had a week's worth of memories stored in memory...

... that is, until the trip back, when she decided to re-format the memory stick. "I wonder what this function does?"

Oh, Lucy....you've got some splaining to do.....

lenshanem, there was no need to call OKW!! I remember specifically unpacking them from my carry on bag and putting them on my bureau.

the film was in a small disney bag and I think it got thrown away when I was taking out all the "stuff" we bought and had extra packing materials and bags hanging around!!!!

Rosemary....I know exactly how you feel and I'm very sorry for you. I hope the rolls turn up somewhere.

We had 8 months of digital photos stored on our home computer when a virus came through that wiped out every jpeg on the computer. We didn't have a CD burner so the pictures weren't stored anywhere else, and were lost forever. They included two WDW trips.

Needless to say, there's not much they could do in the way of punishment for these jerks that create these viruses that I would object to.

Good luck!:)

Returning home from our trip in march we hand our film (800 speed) hand checked at MCO. Lo and behold we forgot to reclaim it after the metal detectors. My wife called the airport and our film was located in the lost and found. It was shipped to us by mailboxes etc. located in the airport for about $8. So keep up the hope...it may turn up somewhere.

I am so sorry! That is the pits.

Guess this is a good excuse to get a digital camera for your next trip? We got one for our trip this summer and it was wonderful. We took over 500 pictures and it was so easy to get rid of a picture that looked bad right there and retake it.

You have my sympathy, Clark color labs lost three rolls of 36 exposures from Easter and I have only a few photos! At least you have the memory of having been there and a great excuse to go back.

I hope your film/memories show up soon....good luck

So sorry. Hope they turn up. You might make a vacation memory scrap book with all of the brochures, resort information, ticket receipts, etc that we all collect over a Disney holiday. Complete it with some downloaded shots and a daily journal. Not the same as pictures, but years from now it will anchor the trip for you and trigger great memories. Maybe get the rest of family to contribute comments, quotes, etc.

So sorry to hear this Rosemary. We lost a couple of rolls in the Splash Mtn waterway. But I couldn't imagine losing all my pics. Did you take any video ?

Aw Rosemary, that's terrible.

I hardly ever use film since DH got a digital camera. (I still bring the camera with me, but rarely take a picture with it.)

I'm so sorry that this happened.:( :( :(

That is great news. I can't stand it when something can't be found (expecially something that important).
Enjoy looking at your photos!:D

That's great! I'm so glad you found them. I was hoping you would.

Donna

So glad you found your film. We lost 2 rolls from a trip a few years ago and I still get sick every time I think about it. Of course the memories are in our minds but they will fade over time. Having the photos brings the memories back like it was just yesterday. Annmarie
