2 weeks to move

Ok my landlords came and said they are selling. We have 2 weeks to move everything. My dd is unhappy about everything including the new house I have picked out. What do you think I could do to make it up to her? I really hate to see her upset.

First, make sure in your haste you don't leave any of her special things behind. My mom moved from Illinois to Ohio when she was 14, and my grandma made her leave her big doll collection behind, saying she was too old for dolls--that was in 46 and mom still talks about it!
Second, let her help pick out colors, drapes etc. for her new room so she can make it "hers".

first off to you, I know how stressful it is. I had a LL do the same thing to my dh and I back in June and it was a nightmare.

And you're wonderful to be thinking of your daughter. Could you get her a new bedset for her bedroom that she could pick out?

That doesn't sound legal. I may be wrong but I thought that you had to be given a minimum of 30 days or it was considered an illegal eviction.

if her situation was like mine, she probably was at the end of her lease? I was told we could renew and then she changed her mind at the last minute.
