ahhh i don't know what's wrong with me!! i booked this trip the last week of november and it's finally here!! all the planning is done, birthday and graduation surprises are in place so that's all good, but i'm just feeling blah. i had a miscarriage last week (2nd one in 11 months) so i've been feeling pretty yucky all week, and nothing has really gotten done. my house is a wreck, and it needs cleaned before my friend can come here and watch baxter for a week. i started throwing everything i wanted to wear in a pile on top of my luggage, but i will want to re-think most of the clothing choices now that i'm down 8 pounds from last week. the worst part adding to my funk is that the tax return checks aren't here yet. i could possibly be in a world of spending money trouble :( i picked up hours this week at my second job (even though i was supposed to be on bedrest), and they're allowing me to work every day next week to try to help. my birthday is next saturday so i'm hoping for lots of birthday love from family and friends, lol.

i just am not excited today :( i've never not been excited. i'm so tired, and instead of cleaning or packing, i'm on here venting because i don't understand this feeling i'm feeling. help me get my happy feeling back again!! i never in a million years thought i'd ever be staying deluxe, let alone club level (and dxddp) and i should be bouncing off the walls and my suitcases should be in the hallway ready to go.

maybe show me a picture, share a happy story about the YC, or CL, suggest a snack or a must do activity? does anyone else fall into this funk? help please!! thanks for listening :)

Okay sweetie, you need to give yourself a break. You are hormonal first off. Being pregnant throws your hormones out of whack and when you miscarry, the hormones try to dump out of your system all at the same time. Its normal to be feeling low after the loss and the hormones. I am very sorry for your loss.

Now, as a side note, I always get post-planning blues before a trip. All the planning fun is gone and now I have nothing to do, so I end up in a funk. It will pass and you will manage to get everything done. Most importantly, your tax return checks will arrive in time.

awww thanks. i got my first realllllly good nights sleep last night, and i actually feel pretty good today. hopefully after work i can get some stuff done around here :) DBF asked me again last night how much it would be for club level, and i told him i called and it wasn't available, and we couldn't afford it anyway :) sneaky sneaky. i had a little hint of excitement when that happened :) i got him lots of new clothes that he wanted, and i plan on packing them while he's at work the night before.

Aww I'm sorry for your loss...it just takes time. There's lot of emotions going on, and lots of hormones...
Someone else posted something similar somewhere about how they just don't feel so excited anymore now that their trip is here. I feel the same way sometimes...even at Christmas! I can't wait for it to get here, but once it comes closer I know we're that much closer to it being over...so I get sad! I think once it comes time for you to go your excitement will pick back up again, and you'll be feeling a little better after your loss. At least hormonal-wise.

Hey! I am glad you are feeling better today Honey....you just need some pixie dust to get you excited for your trip! We leave soon too and I have been watching my favorite Disney movies to get excited for the trip. What are some of your favorite Disney movies? Better yet, what is the one place in all of Disney world that you can't wait to get to?:tink:

So sorry about your loss. I hope you have a wonderful Disney trip!!!

We stayed at the Yacht Club last summer and LOVED it!!! What time are yall arriving? Well, I'd say once you arrive and check in, head right on over to Beaches & Cream and get you a big ol' ice cream sundae!!!

I also surprised my DD and got her a pedicure!! She was so excited! So, maybe you can pamper yourself and get a manicure or pedicure right there at the hotel!

Or just take a few hours and totally relax at the pool!

Have a great trip!!!!!! Take care of yourself!!

Okay so here's my update: Mood wise, I'm getting much more excited. Time wise, I haven't had time to do anything. I haven't had time for movies, but I downloaded a ton of Disney songs on my iPhone and I listen to them when I'm driving to my jobs. I like that :) I'm gonna do the manicure/pedicure thing before I go. I work in makeup, so I normally take them some makeup and perfume and they do it for free. It works for them, it works for me :) Health wise, I'm still feeling pretty yucky, but I have 10 days for all that to end. I'm trying to be patient because getting worked up about it will probably just make it worse. Okay, well off to both works today!

.... Oh, and I think my dog knows something is going on, lol. He's been very clingy lately.

Have a great day everyone!!

I'm glad to hear you are feeling a little better but as everyone has said on here, it's normal for you to feel low and your body is adjusting to lots of things right now. I'm so sorry about your miscarriage  You have lots of friends here on the Dis to vent to and we will help you through this!

You already did what I was going to suggest and that is download some upbeat Disney songs on an mp3 player. We all have gone through the feelings of all the excitement of preparation and then even after we arrive at WDW, we still can't get the :goodvibes feelings back.

I'm so happy you get to stay at YC/CL - what a treat that will be for you. I am watching live video cam taken from the Boardwalk Villas (it's on Ustream - if you search for Disney, you will find it.) I put this up on my computer at work and at home and when I'm in a funk, I watch the boats coming in, unloading passengers and watch Illuminations at night and it picks up my spirits (we had to cancel 2 studios for our boardwalk view stay due to car problems).

Have a wonderful vacation, sweetie and take each day as it comes. If you get your housework done, that's great - if not, your housesitter will understand.

I'm also very happy to read that you're feeling better! (I can't imagine your pain & I am really sorry for your loss.) It sounds like you need a trip to WDW now more than ever! While on your computer, you should also check-out: http://www.dtuneslive.com/ . They stream several different Disney songs for free & that always puts a little pep in my step. Have a wonderful trip!
