I guess you are right, the answer is yes, if you want to lie, sneak, worry, set a bad example for your kids, and steal, then it's yes, yes, you can 'try' and sneak you kid in and you may get away with it as some certainly have BUT if you want to know Disney's policy or their answer on the subject, well, we all know that answer don't we? That's why I'm shocked it's even a debatable question.
The answer would be no!
I don't care what the OPs' exact question was; I think she actually asked 3 questions though, but I still have every right to tell him/her it's a bad idea and the reasons why. It's wrong period no matter how you or anyone else tries to justify it and I'm doing nothing wrong when I point that out in my posts.
If someone needs to ask if they can get away with something, then I think they already know it's wrong...they're just hoping we'll all make them feel better about their decision but I'm not going to do that.
I know I'm beating a dead horse. I'm not trying to make anyone feel better about "cheating". I personally agree, and have always bought passes myself, and don't try to sneak 5 into a room for 4 (we have 5 in our family).
I'm just pointing out that the OP WASN"T asking if it was the "moral" or "right" thing to do. In fact, she stated " i know that it might not be the right thing to do. " It really doesn't take any brains to figure out it's not the "right" thing to do. The questions she asked were:
1. Can I get away with saying he's 2?
2. has anyone done it?
3. Do they check anything to see if he's really 2?
It's also not "right" to take food into the parks, cook in your hotel room, resell park tickets on EBAY or give them to another member of your family, buy a kids meal when it says under 12 and it's not right to speed on the freeway or local streets. However, it's also true that different people see some rules as black and white and some rules as gray.
The rule of buying a ticket for a just turned three year old is black and white for you; for other people it's gray. I wouldn't even begin to speculate what oter rules you consider black and white, or the ones that are gray.
For example, I know it's wrong to go 10 miles over the speed lmiit on the freeway, but I've definitely done it before. That's a gray area for me. On the other hand, I believe it's very wrong to speed around neighborhood streets and schools.....that's black and white for me.
Anyway, I'll sign off. I usually don't post on threads like this. But I really just wanted to clarifyy thoughts on this. Like I said......it's ironic.....I do in fact agree that not buying a pass is wrong.....I just also believe that other people would see it as a gray area, not as lying, sneaking, worrying, setting a bad example for your kids, and stealing.
