On the last night of our trip, we are dining at Artist's Point. We are going with a fairly large group, all on the Disney Dining Plan, but some of us are dining at other Signature Restaurants during our stay so will be short one TS credit due to Artist's Point requiring two.

Some questions:

1) What happens if you are short one? Do they split the charge in half?
2) Can only some people in a party (all on the same reservation) use a Dining credit at a particular meal? Our first night there, we are eating at Tony's Town Square and probably would be better off paying some of the meals in cash?

So confused...

Thanks in advance!:confused3

I don't believe that they will split the charge in half.

What I have done in the past is pay out of pocket (OOP) for a breakfast (less expensive meal) and use the extra credit for my dinner.

That way I use the credits for my more expensive meals and pay OOP for a less expensive meal or two.

I hope this helps. :flower3:

I don't think you can do that. You should pick a less expensive meal to pay OOP earlier in your stay so that you have 2 credits left for AP.

You can use 2 credits for one person and pay oop for the other. This is what my DH and I normally do. That way we get 1 dessert to share and 1 entree and just pay oop for an entree and drink. There is no problem with that. However, run your numbers because as others have stated sometimes its cheaper to do another meal oop.

1) What happens if you are short one? Do they split the charge in half? They will not split the charge. It has to be paid with 2 TScredits or entirely OOP. However, if another adult on your reservation also has the same one credit left, the 2 can be combined and one adult can use both credits and the other can pay out of pocket. The same applies if 2 kids each have one TS credit each left.

2) Can only some people in a party (all on the same reservation) use a Dining credit at a particular meal? Our first night there, we are eating at Tony's Town Square and probably would be better off paying some of the meals in cash? Yes. Just let your server know who will be using credits and who will be paying OOP. This is a good way to save credits for Signature restaurants or dinner shows.

Not pertinent here, but if you happen to be doing a split stay with the DDP using the DDP for boths stays and plan on dining at a Signature restaurant on the last night of your first stay, they also can not use one credit from your first stay and combine it with one from your second stay, even though both plans will be active that day.:rolleyes1 Found this out the hard way.:rotfl: They could take two from the second stay, but then I was left with one from the first stay that would have had to be used by midnight that night.:headache:
