2 studios at the Poly

Has anyone every booked 2 studios at the Poly and gotten them together in the same building. Do they have adjoining rooms?

All but 2 studios at PVB connect to another studio. It is a request but one that is as close to guaranteed to be fulfilled as any request. I have personally requested this twice and been successful both times. I've never seen a report of it not being done but of course that could happen.

I don't think there is one here showing that. Tikiman pages has long been in place before DVC moved into the Poly and has a lot of information on the long houses. http://www.tikimanpages.com/poly/tokelau-deluxe-studios

We were at the Poly from December 27- Jan 1. We had three studios booked and requested Tokelau and had a "traveling with" note put on our reservations. Not only were we all placed in Tokelau, our three studios were all next to each other. We were very pleased!

I just read a thread on the internet saying that the Bungalows usually sit empty. Has any one ever been upgraded to one if your party exceeds one villa?

Upgrades on point with DVC are exceedingly rare and usually only happen if there's an issue with a room and they don't have the same size villa to move you to. Now and then someone posts about getting placed into larger accommodations - probably for the reason I listed or somehow being overbooked - but even then it's often people who are at a resort just for a night or two.

I thought the bungalows were being booked more now, maybe not? I would never spend the points on one, but others might. If they are sitting empty more so than not, does this have any impact on DVC or the owners there?

If it's part of Developer Inventory, DVD can make them available for cash. DVD owns the unit and is responsible for paying the dues.

If it's part of Member Inventory, it can be turned over for cash reservations if unreserved at 60 days from check-in. DVC would receive a portion of the cash rate which would be listed as Breakage Income on the financials for the DVC resort.

16 Bungalows have been declared for point sale; 4 are still not declared (or points salable). There are a little more than 4 million total points at the Poly. Roughly 25% of Poly is still undeclared, including a good number of studios.

10% is within some margin of error!

(And this may be why I failed stats the first time, right.)
