2 Single Strollers vs 1 Double Stroller

We are leaving for Disney in 4 short days:yay: I'm still debating on what to do about strollers. I have 2 toddlers & a 5yr old who will get tired legs. Is it better/easier to bring 2 single strollers or bring 1 double stroller? Yes...I know about stroller rental, but for what I pay for 7 days, I'd rather invest in my own & have it after our trip. Any tips or ideas out there? I just don't know what to do!

We like the double. We nearly always have two riding, (with four children), and we do it all together, (we all ride or visit all attractions together). We use a Phil and Ted Vibe, so it is narrower than most singles, yet two ride.

I prefer DH to be able to walk with holding hands or not with the older two boys, and I 'man' the stroller. It makes it easy to look for one stroller too. IMO

Have a great time!!!

I am going to take the opposite stance. I prefer two strollers as my children are 5 years apart. I did take a regular size double jogging stroller one year and felt it was a hassle to push around (narrow aisles) and to get on and off transportation. I would look into two umbrella strollers. Ebay did have NIB Maclaren's for $54. You could get two of those and connect them together. I'm not sure how they would steer but I know the one I have is awesome and can't wait to use it at Disney.

DH and I decided to get 2 strollers because it was easier to push around in crowds, through stores, etc… My children also tend to fight when they are close together, so they are happier in their own strollers. Good luck with your decision!

Thanks all! But I'm still torn!?!?!? I have 2 singles (a Graco Metrolite & just bought a Maclaren Quest for $129 at Marshalls) My double is a Graco Duoglider. I just don't know what route to take. I feel like if we do the double stroller, we won't get separated (me & hubby) like we might using 2 singles. Obviously it's not a travel stroller....we are on a monorail resort, so it's not like we'll have to load it up all the time on buses (or will we...hmmm?) Do we take 1 single, knowing my 14mon old will be in it all the time & do something for my 3 &5 yr old when needed at Disney...although then there's the airport scenerio too! Yikes...why is this so tough to just decide.

I definatly would do one double. I hate the idea that both adults are tied to a stroller, thus no free hands/feet/body to quickly take care of things (like run after a child who gets away)

We took two Chicco umbrella strollers on our trip, but we had my parents and brother with us, lots of adults to help out. When it was just the four of us, it was hard to get lunch for example, when DH was getting food and I was stuck with two single strollers! Next time we'll bring our double.

I did have stroller connectors, but didn't use them as much as I should have on the days we were separate from my parents. If you bring two strollers, def. get the stroller connectors!

That makes so much sense...I didn't even think about difficulty getting food, etc! I was just thinking about walking in the parks. It WOULD be so much easier to just bring the double. I need the easiest, most convenient thing....gotta relax sometime on my vacation! Yeah, right!

We had a single stroller with the first kid that I loved with big wheels and very easy to push. The boy was 5 and his sister 2 at the time. Now we have him at 10, her at 4 and their sister at 2. He will walk, the little on will get the big wheeled stroller and the middle one will walk until tired and then us the umbrella stroller if needed which will store nicely under the big wheel stroller until needed.
