Hello!! I will be going with my family to WDW on Nov 29 - Dec 12 (me, DH, DD3, DS4, DS6, DM, DG and DMIL) and I want to buy the Maclaren stroller for the trip, plus mine is extremely old and won't last. Here is the question, should I buy two single strollers or one double? :confused3 I'm definitely going to buy for two, because DD3 and DS4 will always take a nap at the same time, and in price for what I have seen is pretty much the same.

With two singles who is going to push is not a problem, I will always have extra hands. But in case of an emergency with a double I can be sure that I will have both kids under my supervision but with two we can get separated but I don't know if I can have problems with the doors with a double, or maybe the solution can be connectors.

Ahhhhh! Decisions.

We took a double stroller for years - the first 3 boys were each a year apart.

The past 2 trips we have taken two strollers. One for DD(2yrs old) for her to nap, basket to carry things, etc. For older DD we took an umbrella stroller. If older DD wanted to walk for a bit, or I was alone with the girls, I would simply fold the umbrella stroller and hang it from the other stroller.

And which one you liked more?

I would say, taking the two single strollers.

However, they were different circumstances. When travelling with 3 under 3 the double stroller was a must.

I think, for older toddlers the 2 single strollers work best. It did for us.

I'm doing the double and one reason is I figure if they are sitting together, side by side, they might sit better.

I only have one child so it isn't an issue for us (at least at this point) but my sister is just back with her 2 kids, aged 3 and 5. They did rentals everyday. They started with a double but her kids would get into these little spats by kicking each other etc. so it was easier to just separate them and get them their each stroller. I guess it depends on if your kids can sit well enough next to each other for sometimes very long stretches of time (knowing they might get tired and irritable).

The 1 stroller would be easiest in theory, but thought I would mention what my sister just went through...

I go for the double stroller- this way you are not tied to having to be together at all times & you only have to be responsible for 1 stroller. I have twins & we have taken the double side by side for them - much easier. Mine are used to sitting next to each other so it doesn't bother them.

Two single Maclarens (or other decent umbrella) strollers, and a set of connectors is perfect, IMO and IME. You get the benefits of both kinds of strollers and lots of flexibility.
