I have a bit of a problem, my family and I are going down for the week of thanksgiving this year, and we have two sets of paper tickets with more than the number of days we need. We have one set of tickets with 3 days and another with 5. I know I should've ordered my second round of tickets with four rather than five but we had to change our plans after I ordered them. The big problem is that we have 8 days worth of passes and are only going to need 6 days worth of passes, we're going to have to use both sets of tickets though. So my question is if there's a way to only put some of my days worth of passes on the magic band or if I have to put them all?

Unless you pay to make one set of tickets "non-expiring,"
if you USE any of the "days" on a ticket, the rest of those unused days
will expire in 14 days.

If the 5-day tickets have never been used before, what you CAN do (SHOULD do) is,
after you are at WDW, upgrade the 5-day tickets to 6-day tickets ($10.65 per ticket is all that will cost.)
Then, do not use the 3-day tickets at all this trip, but continue to save them for a future trip.

All 8 days will be linked to your MB. All tickets save for non-expiring expire 14 days after first use so you wouldn't be able to bank those 2 extra days regardless.

The set of three is non-expiring but the set of five is not.

I agree with this. This will save you a lot of money.

Then you need to set it up to use the 5 day first and then use 1 day of the non expire tickets.

While that would technically work, it will cost MUCH MUCH MORE than adding an extra "day" to the current 5-day MYW ticket.

Again, adding another day to the current 5-day MYW ticket would only cost $10.65 per ticket.

BUT, actually using one day of the 3-day non-expiring ticket would "cost" (in value)
over $100 per ticket!

This is true. :thumbsup2

Does this have to be done once we're there or can we do it before? My concern is fast passes because if we have to do them the day of I'm worried that we won't get good ones.
