at two different resorts, same time....just use a different leading name?

Both ppl are on the contract, so reserve room A with person A and room B with person B?

Is that how it works?

That is one way to not confuse the system.

Being on the contract doesn't matter at all. DVC rooms can be used by anyone.

I think we will be there about the same time looking at your signature.

My mom and I will be staying 10 nights, consecutively, in a 2 bedroom aat GFVs from September 4-14. My name as lead and then my mom's name as second guest.

I was able to stalk a studio at BWVs for one night on September 10, with the sole purpose to walk to MGM so I get arrive by 4:30 am. When I booked the room, I booked my mom as lead guest but just used her first initial and last name and I was the second guest, first initial and last name. I didn't care if it didn't match my MDE or anything else since my FPs for that day will be made using my GFVs ressie.

Are you also thinking about booking BWVs for MGM? There is still the night open for September 11 that I have been watching and still open for a few days.

I am arriving the 14th of Sept. But, I was actually asking for my sister who planned a last minute trip for the end of august, for 4 nights. She was able to get nights 1,3 and 4 at BLT. Waitlisted Night 2.
Her option is to book elsewhere, she is thinking AK for nights 1 and 2, then move to BLT. Ideally she wants to keep night one and the waitlist at BLT. I get the moral arguments against this.

If she has the points she can book AK and do the WL for night 2 at BLT but then remember to cancel AK end of June so the points don't go into holding but I would just constantly stalk BLT. What kind of room is she looking for with the WL? I was able to piece together 8 nights consecutively at BLT over marathon weekend last year at about the 3-4 month mark. I am also stalking (and have a WL) GFVs, September 13, 2 bedroom dedicated since I have 10 nights there but my last night is in a lock off. I have been seeing a lot of moment, although sadly not my date yet, so if she stays on top of it, maybe she can find the room. Hopefully she is looking at studio LV, which seems to usually be easier than others.

I don't get why you would say the moral argument against this. They are her points to rent and find a room if she wants, just as others can book. Is it wrong I have GFVs and BWV booked? I'm using my points and found a room just like anyone else.

Good luck and report back!

Oh - in that case it really doesn't matter but you can still do it that way. Different names can be important once you are onsite as MDE can have difficulty with opening doors at 2 hotels rooms. Or rather it seems to be able to do it but CM's don't seem to always know how to set it up correctly.

Thank you for this information. So, when I check in for my one night at BWVs, while still having my GFVs ressies, I should specifically state to the CM to keep the names “as is” and not change them to what is on our license, is that what you are saying?

Thanks.

That's what I would do. If I wanted to change the names I'd do it before - never with the front desk. That really is asking for issues. Cancel, rebook type issues. I'd probably just order separate MB's under those profile names and do online check in and skip the front desk.

Thank you SO much! This is excellent advice and something I didnt even think of and really appreciate your information. I will do exactly as you say and agree this sounds like the best way for the least issues. Thanks SO much!
