2 rooms, same 4 people

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. We're gonna end up with 2 rooms some nights because we're confirming an RCI trade for Saratoga and using our DVC points for other resorts. The SSR rez will be for the entire week. Our DVC will be a 2-3 split stays. What's the best way to handle names, room charging, access, etc? Ideally, we'd all have access to unlock both rooms, and room charges would be ideally charged to one resort.

Since you will have an overlapping SSR reservation for the entire period, that's where everyone's name(s), MBs, and room charging should be setup. It would be easiest to just get RF key cards for your additional room(s) during the week.

Have them remove charges privileges from all resorts except SSR when you check in.

They only thing I can say is, MB can only unlock 1 room at a time. So you can give access to everyone to both rooms you'll have to pick which for your band and then get a key card to open the other room.
As to names, I personally have been listed in 2 rooms on many occasions. I'm the only one with an MDE account and am always the lead guest when I book a room. It's never been an issue. After that, just split up the others as you want.
Charging no advice, we've never tried to split that up in any way.

Ok, so if we're checking into SSR first, can we have room cards for that one while using the MB to charge to the SSR room the entire week (and the MB to open the other DVC reservations?)? Or does the MB have to open and charge to the same room?

No it does not work that way.

Yes that is the easiest way to understand how your MDE account / MB(s) are associated to any 1 particular reservation / room at a time.
