We have 2 rooms in our package. second room is in my parents name and than our room. My question is are all the Ts meals pooled or do we need to tell the waiters take 2 ts from this room and 2 from this room? I figured everything with totals and didn't think I would need to split. It will still work I just have to know who's card to use and when. Anyone else with this situation?

I Had The Same Situation In December. They Are Seperated By Room. We Ate All Meals At The Same Time, So We Just Used One Room Key And Had Them Swipe Until It Was Empty And Then We Used The Other Key Card At Every Meal. They Print A Total Of Credits Left After Every Meal On Your Receipt, So It Is Easy To Keep Track. The Only Problem Keeping Track Might Be If You Go To Different Ts Meals. Hope This Clarify's

We had two rooms in December also, and the credits were on each room key. We did try at first to take so many off one key, some of the other at each meal but that was CONFUSING. Then dh got the brilliant idea of using one card until empty etc. Great except at the end, we still had to use both cards to finish them out! Using one card at a time is the best way to do it though. I will say that we had a few problems at a couple places like Teppenyaki and Ohana because we had one child. So they needed both cards to take off the child TS. Other places didn't. The one major problem that we found with the dining plan is that you could ask the same question to 5 different CM's and get 5 different answers. BUT..it is well worth it! So if you have a child credit you may have to use both cards, but whatever you start doing the first day, continue. Mixing it up can cause problems. I know while I am on vacation my brain goes on vacation to and I was not able to keep up!

Now you've lost me, Kelly. There are no such things as "child" credits.. just pooled TS credits. What do you mean by this?

It was odd. We paid for 7 adult credits and 1 child credit on the dining plan for 7 days. On one card (room) showed 4 adults for DP, the other showed 3 Adults and 1 child on the card (room), so technically when we went to eat there was a child's menu order. Some places took both cards and subtracted the adult and then the child. Some places, even though we ordered off the child's menu, only used one card to subtract the meals. Depended on where we went. The credits are pooled on each card but some places were more strict with taking the actual child credit off the card. So, it is confusing but really since we actually paid the child's price, it was the right thing to do. Then again, the last day we had 7 cs left on the key with 3 adults and 1 child, they let us use them for 7 breakfasts. There is no way to tell if all you have left is child or adult and really only the receipt showed we used a child's credit. So the credits are pooled, there is really probably no way to show what is child/adult but you take your chances at each place on how strict they are in using both cards to take off credits or one. Sorry this is confusing! But, it is seemed to be the only flaw in the dining plan that depending on the situation could work for you or against you. Each eatery had a policy it seemed....some realized they were pooled and some went strictly with the rules and took off the child's credit.

Hope that helps some...not as confusing as it sounds. Just hard to explain!

OK, now I see why I am confused. You are using the term "child credit" when there is no such thing. They never took a "childs" credit off of a card, because, as you point out, Disney doesn't differentiate between a credits. A credit is a credit. What you mean is that when using credits for your child's meal, sometimes they would insist on using the particular card with the 1C on it instead of the other card. That is supposed to be the way it works, and that has to do with the fact that each room is supposed to be separate for the plan. It seems as if some CMs didn't care, and just swiped all the credits off of whatever card you gave them, but some followed the rules and split them up the way they were supposed to be. It has nothing to do with a "childs" credit (as there is no such thing), but how the CMs used which card for which meals. Makes sense now.. thanks!

We had this earlier in the month and we always dined together. At the TS meals the server asked for both sets of cards and divvied them up appropriately. We had asked about submitting one card, I think it was at the WCC but they said they needed both cards since it was 2 different sets of rooms.

We had the same deal in January. One of the card had 2 adults and 1 child, the other had 3 adults. We dined together, so just presented both cards. It was not confusing.
