Okay, so I have three kids. Normally we'll stay at POR and thus stay in one room. However, with the pay for 3 promo we decided to get two rooms at AS Movies instead. So, the question is, do I have to carry two cards (one for each room) and figure out the dining credits on each or can they put all the credits on one room?

Yes, you can use one card for all dining plan payments if both rooms are on the same reservation. I've done it several times; we always get two rooms. Have fun planning!

I would check to make sure they really are on the same reservation. In May, DD (19 at the time) was in a separate room with her BFF...even though I booked both rooms, and our credit card paid for both rooms, their keycards had their DDP on it. We had to have one card from each room to ring up the DDP for the 4 of us at our shared meals.

I've had 2 rooms with my 4 children. They put the credits on 2 seperate cards. It was a pain to keep track of.

The system is supposed to be programmed to prevent using more credits-per-meal than are indicated on one's card/reservation - so, no, you probably will not be able to pay for all meals with one card.

Four weeks ago, I had two rooms, one reservation, and the dining plan. Yes, all participants were indicated on every card, and yes we were able to use one card for everyone's meals. The keys were not set up by room, but by reservation. Any card opened both rooms, and any card was inclusive of our entire dining plan credits. ;) Have fun!

That's good that this was your experience. Each card shows the number of Guests on that reservation. If your cards displayed the total number of persons on your reservation, instead of the number of Guests in each room, then it makes sense that you could use any card to "pay" for all the meals.

But if room A has two adults and one child, and room B has two adults and two children (numbers for example only), policy/programming is that any card for room A can be used to pay for two adult and one child meal at one seating, and any card from room B can be used to pay for two adult and two child meals at that same seating.

That is the case if you have 2 different reservations. It is not the case if you have one reservation for 2 rooms as my family did. All the cards had all the dining credits, each key opened both rooms, the room charges were done together, there was only one bill upon check out, etc. Everything was handled as if we were in one room. It was quite nice.
