2 rooms at a Value or Moderate?

For those who have stayed onsite... Would you pay the extra $$ for 2 rooms at Moderate vs. 2 rooms at a Value. Is it worth it??

For a family of 6, planning 4 days/3 nights at WDW, would you pay for the extra room at a moderate or just stick to the less expensive value.

Right now rack rates, price difference in the value season is $57.00/room. Is the extra room at a moderate worth it or not really, since there would already be 4 beds, 2 TV's, 2 baths. Also, do the moderates have connecting rooms, I read the value's do?

I've also read the restaraunts/pool areas are nicer at the moderates.

IT depends upon how old your kids are and when you are planning on going. A little more info would help. I would say 2 at a value, especially if you will have your own vehicle. That extra money could go toward food, souvies etc.

The restaurants and pools and the atmosphere is nicer at the moderates... how much time do you think you're going to be spending at the resort? Will you be doing the parks every day? Do you like to go back to your hotel and relax and swim or just to sleep?

Sorry should have given more info, trying to help a friend. Kids will be 10,9,6 & 2 y/o.. Probably try to do the parks with older two & 1 parent, younger 2 made need a break from the crowds, time of year they are planning on going is fall (oct - nov), I've read weather is hit or miss, but should still be warm enough for pools.. I'm assuming with only 4 days at Disney, they will want to do a park a day, so probably value resorts are best?? Even if the younger ones need a break, the extra room will help..

We're a family of four and getting two rooms at the moderate. This way there's two bathrooms and enough beds for everyone to stretch out on without fighting plus two TVs. Alright, and so the ones who snore sleep in one room and the ones who talk sleep in the other.

I don't know what rate you could get on the two rooms, but one room at the Contemporary may be an option also

The Contemporary has standard rooms and suites. Standard rooms have two queen beds and a day bed or a king-size bed and a day bed. They can accommodate up to five people plus a child under 3 who would use a crib

I'd stay in moderates - we stayed in our first value last May and were sorely disappointed in it, and won't go back down to that level. The moderates are worth the extra money, and are much nicer in layout and space. More resort like, less motel like.

We have stayed in connecting rooms at CBR (a moderate) for a family of 5 - having 2 bathrooms were a MUST for us, and it was worth doing that instead of squeezing into a deluxe that fits more. Even just having 2 tv's was great during downtime!

If they have the extra money, I'd spend it on the moderate - there is a reason why moderates are priced a bit higher than values, and I think it's worth spending it. Most people say if you're going to just sleep and shower in your room, don't spend $ on anything higher than a value, but we vacation that way and that is exactly WHY we would spend money - we got no sleep at Pop due to noise! So we'd def stay moderate or deluxe from now on to ensure peaceful nights sleep =)

I agree...I also had a bad experience with the value resorts. They just weren’t as nice as the moderate resorts were. The bus and bus stops were my main issue. There is only one bus stop for each all star resort….so it is very crowded and there is no where in the shade to sit as you wait for a bus. Also, when I went it was very busy, so if you wanted to get on the bus, you had to stand in the long line that had already formed before you got there. All of the All Star Sports, Music, and Movies share the same bus. So there are three times as many people trying to get on and off (That means that you will have three times as many people waiting with you when parks close to get back to the resort....this is really bad at the Magic Kingdom). We stayed at All Star Movies which was the last to be picked up and the last to be droped off....so when we did get a bus....there were no more seats. To me, the extra money for a moderate is worth it because the bus situation isn't as bad. There are multiple bus stops at the moderate resorts and they are all covered and have benches to sit on.

I have sta yed at the moderate resorts and the value and i loved the value resorts and if your kids are younger then they will love it too!... it is oerfect for kids i think!.... and it cost less and you usually do not spend alot of time in your rooms anyway!... and if you want connecting doors I would do the all stars!...i am going this may and i am statying at the all stars movies and its the best there!
