I know you are supposed the stay at the nicer property last during your vacation--but it can't be helped. We are meeting family and they can only stay four nights and want to stay at WL. Since we need two rooms at WL it's already like we are paying for 8 nights. We have decided to stay at a moderate resort after WL to keep costs down. I am leaning towared FQ since we have not yet stayed at that moderate resort. I like the idea that my teens could hop on a boat and enjoy DD. I am not crazy about the fact that we have to go over to Boatwright's for a sit-down meal, though. If I knew I could stay in the AB section of POR that would be my first choice. Problem is, we have stayed at POR twice and requested AB (off season) and never been able to stay there--so I know it's not likely. I like the idea of the great food court and pool at CSR but I really believe it will be too cold to enjoy the pool. The CBR has larger rooms and would give us much needed space. Any thoughts?

also check into renting a 2 bedroom villa at the dvc villas at the wilderness lodge which might be more convinient/economical than the 2 rooms at the lodge.

as for which moderate french quarter is fun i always enjoyed it as a teen with the boat to dtd, scat cats lounge & the serpent pool. another option is a suite/casitas at coronado springs we stayed with family there all 6 of us back in 2000 for like $170 a night.

We did the same thing and ended up at POFQ. The FQ is great. It was nice to go to DTD in the evening by boat and ride around the mile path on bikes. It is a lovely spot.

Eleanor,
Do you mean you stayed at the WL first and then went to FQ? How was the transition as far as your satisfaction level after having stayed at a deluxe property first?
