2 rooms 1 MDE dining question

I have a room in my name and one in my dads. Three in my room two on his. It's all under my MDE and on my CC. When we go to eat with the dining plan, will we need to do two checks or can we just do one and scan my band then my dads?

Are the two rooms on one reservation? Do both reservations include the dining plan? MDE is irrelevant. If you want to pay using two different dining plans, then you'll need to have the check split.

This is a good question. We have one reservation and both rooms on the DDP. There are 5 adults and two kids and for whatever reason they put my DH and I and 1 DS in our room and put our other DS in the room with my parents and grandma on the reservation. We called and asked them to move our other DS back to our room and they said they can't and it doesn't matter. But are all the credits pooled? Will we run into a problem where if we aren't with my parents, we don't have access to our other DS's credits? I don't think it will cause a problem as we will likely all stay together but just wondering if the two rooms will be pooled or not.

If they are separate reservations, two checks, one per room. No, the credits are not pooled across room reservations. You would need a magic band from the room your son is registered in to pay for his meals.

If you have a single room reservation number, it's possible they would be pooled, but I don't recall many instances where multiple rooms were considered a single reservation.

We have two rooms and one reservation confirmation number because we are on a CM Friends & Family Discount. All I know is that we wanted to put one room on DxDP and one on QS and they said they couldn't do that, that both rooms had to be the same because it was only 1 reservation. And then they said they couldn't move our son back to our room on the reservation and that it didn't matter anyway. I'm hoping that means we're all just pooled together. That would make it so much easier.
