Hopefully this question will make sense. Just seeing what other's experience on here was......

Let's say we have enough points for 5 nights for a 1 BR at BCV and then we are able to get a different reservation (through $$ or through another DVC member) for an additional 2 nights at a 1 BR at BCV.

Will Disney work with us to keep the same room for those 7 nights or do you normally have to check out of one room when the first reservation is over and then start the new reservation all over again?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, just have the 2 reservations "linked" , call MS they will know what you mean, also at check in let the CM know you have 2 reservations. You might have to stop at the front desk between the two reservations, but usually not. It is in DVCs best intrest to NOT move you so they don't have to do the extra cleaning of the villa.

Have a great trip.

If the cash ressie is made through MS, or you rent points from another member, the ressies can be "linked" by MS. Since they are for the same resort and accomodation size you probably will not have to move, but like all requests I don't think it is guaranteed. I would certainly give it a 99% chance of not moving.

As I understand it, it's easier to get your reservations linked up if they are all made through MS, instead of 1 through MS and one through CRO. I think it has something to do with the reservations coming from two different computer systems, and not hitting the resort at the same time...
