If I split my ressies to get a better rate for some of my nights.....do I actually have to leave the room and re-check into another room?

Usually not. When you check in, remind them that you have a split reservation and they will usually try to just keep you in the same room.

Sometimes it doesn't work though, and you have to switch. But most of the time it works. :)

When I made split ressies yesterday the CM told me when we check in we will have to tell them we have a continuing reservation. We will have to go to the front desk to check out and re check in but should not have to move.
I hope we don't because I take lots of crap.

We did this at the WL two years ago. We had to physically go down to the front desk to check in again, but we were able to stay in the same rooms (we had two rooms). Check in was VERY busy first thing in the morning, so I assumed many people staying there split their reservation for the better rate also!
