Next December we will be in a studio for three days and then move to a GV for 4 days. When I get my ticket do I link it to both ressies and make FP+ linked to both ressies? Or do I link it to the first ressie and it works for 7 days (if it is a 7 day ticket) . We have groups staying in three different accommodations for different lengths of stay , how do I link the tickets so I can make fastpass+ for the varying groups that want to ride together? Is there a guide posted anywhere for all things Fastpass + ? The MDE seems so quirky, I want to be sure I don't do anything to make matters even worse! ºoº

1- If by "in a studio" you mean NOT at a WDW resort, then you can't make advance FP+
for that part of your stay.
That only can be done DURING and immediately AFTER you stay on-property.
(If you reversed the order of your accommodations, you could do what you want.)

2- That all depends on WHERE those accommodations are.

3- That all depends on WHERE those accommodations are.

4- Nothing "official from Disney."

5- Yup.

We do not know if or when the advance FP+ situation will change for off-site stays.

My recommendation is to check back in six months. The system should be more mature by then.

See the links in my sig for general info based on the current design.

I don't really understand Robo's (previous) answer here, unless I missed something somewhere else. You're linking your ticket to your MDE account not to your specific hotel reservation. All of your on-site reservations will show up in your MDE account. But I agree that things might work totally differently by next fall so I wouldn't worry about any of it now.

My answer is in regard to hotel reservations.

(In regard to accommodations, I just don't know what "in a studio" means.)

Ah, yes, I assumed studio = DVC based on the terminology.

Sorry- all the accommodations are on site with DVC. I am just asking way ahead because that is how I was able to work out all the snags that came up with MDE in planning this past's December stay. We all stayed in the same GV for the same length of time so it was much easier than this year's trip will be. Trying to be as informed as possible. Thanks !

Then, you can make all 7 days of advance FP+ reservations at your 60-days-before-check-in date.

As to the others, if they are all on-site, you can link their MDE accounts to yours and make
all of their advance FP+ reservations at THEIR 60-days-before-check-in date.

I can tell you my experience so far for our March trip... We have a 1BR @ BWV for 7 days & an OKW Studio for our last night. When I linked both reservations to my MDE account, two different Magic Bands show up for each resort. I don't have tickets yet, but I'm hoping that I can link them either before we go, or after we get there.

If you are buying tickets for the trip, they CAN be linked to MDE and advance FP+ can be reserved.

If you order the tickets from Disney, specify "Will Call" (WDW pick-up) and input the confirmation number into your MDE account.

IF you order from a ticket discounter (like UT) specify delivery to your home and input the ticket number(s) into your MDE account.
