2 Reservations Same Reservation # for both?

I called to book BLT I for two separate reservations Feb 2-9th and 9th-11th. The reason I did this was because I only want the dining plan from the 2-9th and not on the last few nights there. The cast member I booked with said that both reservations have the same reservation number. Is this normal when you ask to make two separate reservations at the same resort?

I made a reservation for 2 OVIR's and got the same reservation number for both rooms.

Same here!! The CM is talked to said it makes it easier to apply the DP to the days that you want it. He said it was for them and nothing to be alarmed about!!!

We made a 3-day booking at BCV's followed by 3-days at BLT's and was giving the same reservation number, we thought it strange and questioned MS before we ended our call but was reassured all was correct.

They have done this to our reservations several times now. But, in August we are heading down the day before the rest of the family and are staying in a studio the first night. The CM wanted to make the reservation number the same, but I asked her not to because we are going to have less people in the room that night then when we move to BLT the next day. I was going to add the ddp for the one night and didn't want to pay for people not there.
