2 Reservations - Do our meals link up?

We are going in September with free dining. My dad is coming with and I put one of my 3 children on my dad's reservation as we got two rooms at Caribbean Beach (6 of us total). We linked our reservations in order to make dining reservations but I wonder if my son's dining credits will be on my dad's Magic Band. Can he use his own band to pay for his meals? Or will all our meal credits be linked thru my band? Just wondering in case my dad chooses to skip a day at the parks with us.

Your room reservations have nothing to do with your restaurant reservations, except to qualify you for 180 plus 10. If you want the entire party to eat together, make a single restaurant reservation for 6. Yes, if your son is registered in your dad's room, his credits will be assigned to that room. You cannot get access to them via your magic band, but you can via your son's or your dad's. You will need to use a band linked to your dad's room to pay for your son's meals, so if your dad doesn't come with you, make sure your son has his band. You will need to know the PIN for his room.
