We will be renting DVC points for my niece and her family for next spring.
It will be a split stay: 3 nts at BWV then 4 nights at CCV.
I know we can book a dining plan through the member whose points we are renting. They don't want a whole week of sit down meals but also not a whole week of quick service. So I wonder if we can get the regular dining plan for the BWV 3-nt stay, then quick service for the rest of the week. This way they get some character meals or fun places like Sci Fi Dine in Theater without the need to schedule out their whole week with ADRs.
Even if Disney allows this, for the Wednesday when they check out of BWV and check into CCV, how do we know for sure that it will continue to use up the old dining plan? What should they do or not do to make this go smoothly? Should they hold off checking into CCV and that will continue to burn up the old dining plan?
Or does the system automatically know they'll be checking into CCV and start tapping into the QS plan?
The day they switch hotels will be their non-park day to relax by the pool and that might be a good day for a character meal. It would be embarrasing and annoying if they're told they're on the QS plan even though they still have allotments left from the DP.
Thanks in advance!
