I have 2 questions.
1)Can children go to a childrens club that is a higher age group than they are?
My kids are 6 & & and saw the Disney cruise DVD and they really liked the activities that the kids in the age 8 and up do better than their age group.
Does anyone know if DCL is strict about keeping the kids only with their age group?

2)This is a wardrobe question. If you are going on a cruise in Fall or Winter,
do you still wear summer clothes on cruise. Do people wear summer colors (white and pastels) and sundresses, etc?

Yes to summer clothes.

The rule at DCL is that you must be within 30 days of your birthday to move up to the next oldest group. However, there are sometimes exceptions made to keep families together. Talk to the counsellors in the kid's area. It is usually a wise idea to start kids in their age appropriate group, then consider a move if that group is not working. While siblings play together well, there is a huge difference between a 6 year old and a 9 year old. A 6 in the 8-9 group isn't always a good idea, and it is unlikely they will allow this. One thing they are strict about is that kids can't move back and forth between groups. They only allow one move per cruise. The younger kids do spend some time in the Lab while the older ones are elsewhere.

Older kid activities always look good....but DCL has a lot of experience with kids of all ages. I'd suggest that you use the program as written for a day or so, then ask for a move if you feel that would be best for your children.
