2 questions.

Going on our first trip and wondering what is Fantasmic? and is it worth it? Also at any places where it says "preplated" I understand it a little, but do they give you a little of each, what if you dont like food a but really like food b?

We haven't done a pre-plated dinner since when we went to CRT, it was a regular sit down dinner (not all you can eat.) So, I can't help you there. Tried to look it up, but all I see is that "everyone gets a plate with the same meal." I wouldn't think they'd keep bringing you 2nds with everything on it if you didn't like part of the meal. Who knows.

As for Fantasmic- I say its definitely a must- at least once. Its unique from the fireworks at other parks because there is actually a show with many other special effects. I also say go with the Fantasmic dinner. Some people wait up to 2 hours in line for the show...we did the package so we just had to arrive 30 min. before to get a place in the reserved section. By the time we got in there, the other areas were filled.

Fantasmic really is a good show and I would make the effort to see it. We won't do the Fantasmic Dinner package again though. The seats are way off to the side and we still had to get there 45 minutes early. We had better luck getting there early on our own and having snacks and relaxing, waiting for the show.

When we went to Akershus the breakfast was preplated with small amounts of eggs, bacon, potatoes, etc....I felt they should have put much more eggs on the plate especially for 5 people. They did also have a cold buffet with danishes, muffins, cheese, etc.....We did ask for a second plate. They would definitely bring you more of one item specifically if you ask.
