I found a beautiful K and Company "wedding Scrapbook" at Rag Shop the other day. It was 12x12. I noticed that many of the K and Co. books that were made 12x12 were also made as 8.5x8.5. Has anyone ever seen the wedding book as a 8.5x8.5?

Also, Who has made a wedding scrapbook?
Which pics did you use?
I assume you did not use your professional proofs.
Did you have a professional album AND a scrapbook?
When it came time to show people pictures, which book did you show, your pro book or your scrapbook?

I was thinking about doing a book with all the extra wedding pictures that I have from our own cameras, but then I think why bother because when anyone wants to see the pics, I will just show them the pro pics anyway because they are much better.
Any thoughts?

I was lucky that my photographer was a co-worker who just took TONS of pictures - and had them developed as 4x6 while we were on our honeymoon and I paid for the film and developing - and I got all the negatives to I just printed what I wanted to scrap for large photos -
then I also had all the camera on the tables so in the back of the album I did 6 pages of those pictures - 4 pages I used the CM square punch and cut out different people, decor, and stuff!
Have fun!
don't know hbout the non 12x12 stuff btw sorry ;)

I don't think I do - maybe 1 page of it near the end -
I scrapped it sooo long ago - and I delete a lot of old stuff (I hate people to know HOW addicted to all this I am ;))
If I have a chance tomorrow I will take it out and scan it (although I maight hate it now-lol)

I did my own wedding scrapbook using the professional pictures. Our photographer allowed us to just buy pictures rather than a "package" with one of those big leather album things. I knew that I wanted to just do the album myself and make it more personal.

There were a few shots that the photographer didn't get so we did use personal ones if we had them. The "not so good" pics, such as the ones taken with the cheap little disposable cameras at the reception tables, we just put in collage frames.

I did my wedding album almost three years ago. At the time I liked it, but as I look at it now, there are so many pages I want to redo (since my scrapping techniques have improved)!

Patty T, Thats great! Thanks for posting.

I know what you ladies mean about scrapping a big event and then as your skills improve, looking back and thinking that it is not as good as it could be, but Patty, I think yours is great!

Because I am only a novice scrapper, I won't even attempt to scrap with my proofs, as I only have One copy. I am however, getting a digital album made.

Did you all include bridal shower pictures with your wedding album, or did you do a seperate album for that?

For a wedding present for my cousin, I made a 6x6 album I found at Target. It was cream so I used creamy papers with one or two embellishments per page. It was meant for candid shots from the wedding and reception. When I was married my mother in law and cousin brought their own cameras and took pictures so I made pages for our family album from those. And then I had my professional album.

My sister is getting married in June and wants to put disposable cameras on the tables at the reception. She wants me to make an album for her from those pictures.

That is why I did a clean simple - not to trandy look so that I wouldn't look at it and go YUCK - and again I can have new pictures printed up whenever I want as I have all of the negatives still.

I haven't even scrapped the shower yet - I haven't even finished the honeymoon -
I did buy 2 matching albums and did the honeymoon in one and I am thinking I will put the shower in that one too even if it is out of order - it is an event about the wedding - but not enough for a whole album!

Patty T - I love the page you did with the square maker photos. It is so logical to use the square maker for this but I have never thought of it. I will remember it for my large group functions. I do a lot of sorority books and always have tons of photos but not all are good enough to make the cut or tell the story - I can make squares/circles/hexigons from these and do a page of those who attended.

I love this idea!! (can you tell)

I know this is old, but thought I'd respond. I did a 6x6 of my showers. It's so cute and I just love it. I will have my professional album (hopefully in about 2 weeks!!!) but I also plan to scrap it. I'm going to use the pics taken by family and friends (including the one below) as my material, and maybe one or 2 professional ones. I will include the rehearsal and dinner in the wedding album as I have too many pics from that night to add them into the 6x6.

I have one plain white album I'll use for something, but I've hinted to DH that I want this lovely white album from Target for Christmas to use for the actual wedding. I can't imagine not scrapping the wedding though-there's too much cute stuff to use!!

I have both. I just did my scrapbook (was married 2 1/2 years ago) so everyone has seen the professional. Now, I'll show everyone the scrapbook, lol. Our wedding was simple, white, black and red. So I did it in a black scrapbook and used mostly black pages and kept everything really classic and simple. I was really happy with how it turned out.

I put a lot of pics friends took, pics from 1 use cameras and pics from showers. My pro stuff is in an album I bought at hallmark that matchs my wedding memory book my mother had bought me.

I did 2 8X8 for friends for their wedding. I used mainly K&Co for the paper. Creating Keepsakes has a great wedding magazine out that can help you with layouts. Also Simple Scrapbooks has wedding kits that have great LO ideas also. I scrapbooked my own wedding using 2 different albums. I have the professional pic album and then I have the "fun" album that consist of engagement, showers, rehersal, & wedding. I have my own seperate album for the honeymoon at WDW. It is a big project but I had a great time reliving the day. princess:
