hello, we will be at WDW on May1-May7. Staying at Polynesian...4 of us including kids aged 10 and 12.

1. Do we need to order bottles of water (garden grocer?) to take into the park? I was planning on taking refillable bottles if we can get them filled around the park.

2. If we have a bag with us, where do we put the bag when going on rides? will we need lockers?

Thanks guys...soooooo exicted!

You can refill bottles around the park at water fountains or counter service restaurants will refill them for you free of charge (with tap water). If you want bottled water, best bet is to bring your own.

Regarding bags, you can take them on rides with you. You either hold them or on some of the more active rides, there is a pocket to store them in. I'm not sure how large your bag is, but having a purse or diaper size bag is fine. There may be lockers somewhere but I'm not sure as I've never used one.

I'm assuming tap water is safe and tastes just fine right? Our bag won't be very big, so thanks for the info!!

I am not a fan of FL tap water. We are bringing water bottles to take to the park with us. YMMV.

Thanks :)

The water from counter service locations will be filtered through the soda machines. You will get this in a disposable cup and can then refill your own bottle from there...Or you can forgo bringing your own bottle and just get the free water from the counter service locations as needed.

Nope, tap water smells! Quick service will give you ice water for free, just run inside and ask! Plenty of room for bags on rides, usually a compartment to store them, if not, I just always put my backpack between my feet :)

We order 2 cases of water, and anyone who wants one can carry it themselves. Each of my kids brings a bag of some sort-- except my son, who wears cargo shorts. Once they got to about age 8, they carried their own stuff-- poncho, bottle of water, sunglasses, and so on. Having a bottle of water while on line helps tremendously.

And all those bags are small enough that they can be brought on rides.

I don't like the taste of the water, so I bring it in or buy bottled from a stand. Even the filtered water still tastes swampy to me.

If you haven't taste Florida tap water before, do buy your own, some people is fine but many can't stand the taste. Have a nice trip!

We ordered small camelback backpacks for my kids when they were younger. It was pricey, but we are still using them. They were light weight and so cute! It kept us from digging out water bottles at every stop. If you do decide to use water bottles I agree w other posters, use filtered water or have a case delivered.

thanks guys!! so how reliable is Garden Grocer? I'm coming in from Canada and won't have a car so no way to stop to do shopping.

I used Garden Grocer for a delivery at Animal Kingdom Lodge on 3/20/17. I put my order in somewhere in Jan. They sent me a email conformation when I ordered, a few days before it was scheduled to arrive, and sent me a text/email when my order was delivered at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We arrived a few hours after our Garden Grocer order did. Bell services kept everything in a fridge and delivered our order to our room with our luggage. The whole process was seamless and I would use them again without a second thought. I highly recommend them.
