2 Princesses, a mom and Grumpy-1st Trip Final Thoughts

Alrighty, we are at 2 days-well really a day and a half. As all of you know this is our first trip. What I need from each of you (lurkers too please) is your BEST tip. The one thing that makes your past trips memorable. Best piece of advice etc. I have recieved so much help from these boards-just need a little more.

Tonight-final itinerary!!

Take the time to appreciate the small details, soak it all in and don't rush around missing all the little things. :goodvibes

Don't let it get overwhelming... take it in and take it easy... stay hydrated...

when we brought our friends in 2001 (it was their first time) somehow or another we missed walking through the castle. Danny & I didn't realize that until we were home comparing pics from a trip before and Robin asked what's this...ooops that is the castle

and try and let the girls enjoy...without pushing to see it all...it will still be there...not many things are different from the first time I went when I was 7... more things to see but all the classics are still there (except 20,000 leagues--loved as a kid)

MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF ADVICE --
ENJOY YOUR CHILDREN --SEE IT THROUGH THEIR EYES

I just knew you would be first! Your report has really taught me about the small details that only Disney can do. My pics will be no where as great as yours but you have inspired me!

I guess my tip would be that you should be willing to go with the flow. Having a general itinerary is all well and good but you will find that if you worry too much about sticking to "the plan" you will not have as much fun. So basically use the itinerary as a guideline but be willing to deviate from the plans. My "first" trip in 07 I went into the parks with a blow by blow plan and let me tell you that was tossed within the first couple hours. So be flexible and HAVE FUN! :goodvibes

MK: On your way out of the park for the night, stop by the Bakery and grab some cinnamon rolls! They're great for a quick breakfast the next morning. Plus, they're YUMMY!

AK: Keep on the lookout for Miss Devine!

DHS: Get a fast pass for TSM first thing in the a.m.!

Epcot: Remember the Nemo ride doesn't have fast passes, so try and get that done in the morning before the line gets long!

OOooo! I like her bakery idea for MK!:thumbsup2
and her epcot tip!

So, happy you posted the question. Would never have thought about it!!!

Our family is two days out too!!! WOOHOO!!! I can't believe it's SO close yet SO far away :/ Hope everyone has a MAGICAL trip :)

Best,
Jenny

Thats what it is all about-the kids. I do not want to be one of those parents yelling " I spent $$$ for you to hug Pooh so go hug him" I am prepared for it to be a little overwhelming for Cayley and just try and let her lead the way on things like rides etc. Thanks

Yep, I have a general idea but am willing to go with the flow-plans are meant to be changed! Thanks for the tips-see you soon!

Aesome-love cinnamon rolls, Miss D kinda creeps me out but I will try,got fp for TSM first thing to do-great to know about Nemo. Thanks!

Also the Bakery seemingly has no line at night... we walked right up, got the world's best chocolate chip cookies and had them once we got back to the room!

My advice especially with MK is to ask the girls what they want to do again for Day 2. That seemingly made a world of difference, we would split up if needed and really helped them get to do what they loved again. I always felt that their favorites change with age, so I want to do the "Dumbo" as much as we can while that is what they want.
