2 parties dining together?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find the answer...

My dad is traveling with us this trip but has his reservation is separate from ours...when we go to dinner using the dining plan do we have to tell them ahead of time that his reservation is different from ours and then give them our room key & his room key so they can 1 TS from him and 3 from us? I'm guessing this is how it works. Normally it is just my own family. Do we get two checks or do they still put it all on one?

They'll split the checks by room. Your dad will receive his check for his meal, and his credit will be taken off of his account. The rest of y'all will receive a check for the other meals, and the credits will be taken off your account. You can put the entire tip on either, split it across both, or leave it in cash.
