First - Are there lounge chairs scattered throughout the park? (I'm also really hoping there are plenty near the area for little kids)

Second - Do let your children go free, if so at what age did you start OR do you feel you need to be with them at all times?

Thanks.

We were at BB last week and loved it! It was our first visit and we look forward to going again! The kids area is Tike's Peak and there are chairs near it. The area for older kids (up to 12) is Ski Patrol training Camp. This is where we staked out our chairs. My dks loved this ( 7 and 10)! We all waited in line together for the slides and then headed to Ski area. I just watched my kids there as there is a lot to do and we split up to be near them. You may have to walk around to the other side of the line to meet them at the bottom of the slide. I would not feel at all comfortable letting my kids go around by themselves at their ages! We did take turns watching the kids while the other parent rode the lazy river. The dks enjoyed the lazy river too! Have Fun!:D

I can answer your first question: there are chairs and loungers in a variety of places all around the park. But to get them, you really should get there at park opening.

As for letting your children roam the park on their own, I don't really have kids, so I'm not sure how to answer. I think it would depend on how old your kids are and how "street smart" they are. Even though it's Disney, a parent still has to be careful.

The reason I asked about kids roaming free is that we will be there with 6 kids ranging in age from 2 through 11. I know that the two 11 year olds will beg to go off on their own. Just looking for opinions. Having never been there before, I don't know how spread out it is and/or how easy it is to see different areas from other areas.
Thanks.

I let my 11 year old DD and her friend go to several attractions without me at BB. However, we had a lot of conditions. They were to check in on a regular basis, and only went to specific areas where they told us they would be. No running around without a plan. Also remember that it always takes longer to do things than you think it should. If they are standing in line for slides they could be gone for an hour or more. I'd say that if they are mature, and used to doing things on their own, they should be fine. But you should have someone they can check in with at a certain location. Also never let just one go alone. They should always have at least 2 or more in a group.
