Hello!

I will be staying in Paris in July and definitely want to make a stop at DLP! :cool1:

I haven't planned out the details yet but I believe I will be staying in Pairs for 3-4 days.

I am planning on traveling to DLP but I have a problem.

I will be going with my parents and sister (none of them into Disney, but I am dragging them along). I would love to stay in DLP for 2 days so I can see everything but I doubt they would want to stay (and loose an extra day in Paris) so I am trying to condense my DLP trip down to 1 day.

I think the main problem is the transportation. I know DLP has the 'DLP Paris Express' but from what I see, I will be arriving at the parks at 9:30am and leaving at 6pm. Not nearly enough time to do anything.

I don't need to ride all the rides because I go to Orlando once a month, so i'll just be doing the rides we don't have in WDW.

SO,

To anyone who has stayed in Paris and then visited DLP, did you come for a day and leave by night by train/bus? Or did you come for a day, stay overnight, and leave in the morning? Trying to figure out what I should do.

I am completely lost and stressed since my parents need my itinerary today to book our flights. Thanks in advance!

Also, how big/small is DLP to WDW? Same goes for WDS

I was at DLRP in March 2011. We stayed there for 3 nights and 3 days. That way we could start our first day early with EMH. After 2 days we felt that we were done with the parks. On our last day we did the rides that we really liked one last time before we went to Paris for 4 days.

Even if you don't get an early start on your first day I think you will be able to do Magic Kingdom in one day.

It's very easy to get to DLP on the RER from Paris, so you could stay until park closing which last July was after 9pm for the main park. Here are last Julys opening hours, some days open until 11 - http://www.dlrpmagic.com/calendar/monthly-park-hours/2011-07/

I'm sure everyone here would say stay as long as you can at DLP! But if you have to do it in one day I'm sure with some planning you could see the things that make it different to WDW.

DLP is a much more manageable size than WDW - you can walk between the main park and studios in a few minutes and the train station is right by the park gates. Most people on short trips seem to spend half a day in the studios and a day in the Disneyland park. This is a really good site to see all the attractions, waiting times etc - http://www.dlrpmagic.com/

No stress, you can go to the 2 parks , DLP is not WDW:) and the train station is betweeb the 2 parks:thumbsup2

I went last year and only stayed for one day. I managed to do everything I wanted to in both parks, you'll have no problem.

It really depends what you want to do. They say Disneyland Paris is the most beautiful of the magic kingdom parks and so I think you need time to soak in the atmosphere. This is Disney with a european flavour which suits many of the classic films. Also the DLP versions of the US rides can be different as well (Pirates is supposedly much more impressive along with Space Mountain and I adore Phantom Mannor). I would say stay overnight and leave the next morning after Magic Hours.

I recently returned from DLP and we spent 2 days there and it wasn't long enough. It was quiet and we walked on to most attractions in both parks and soaked in the atmosphere but we could have spent an extra day there easily. July will be significantly busier though so keep that in mind. The place is simply gorgeous and we spent a great deal of time just in and around Sleeping Beauty Castle and its landscaping.
