We are going to Disney in July for 5 nights. Then we are off to Universal (never been there before) for 3 nights. I have been wondering if I should change the Disney reservations for 6 nights in Disney and 2 nights in Universal. Would that be enough time?? I know there isn't alot for my 3 year old but a little bit more for my 5 year old. What do you think???

We are going to have the day we leave Disney, 2 whole days and a little more than 1/2 a day when we leave??? What would you do??

It sounds like you have a good plan and would stick to it and I think you will find more than you think for the 3 year old to do

So, you think there is a good amount of stuff for my 3 year old to do at Universal? I just don't know. I know there is Dr. Suess Land, the Trolley, and I am not sure of what else.

It looks like we are going to be at the Royal Pacific Hotel at the same time. We are checking in on 7/7-7/10.

In addition to Seuss Landing at IOA, there is a whole play area at the Studios that is lots of fun and has lots of water. I haven't seen a child who didn't have a blast in the Curious George or Woody KidZone. :thumbsup2

We are taking our 4 year old (who is scared of most rides!!:lmao: ) next week - I was undecided for a long time, but the more I read the more I think I made the right choice - He is probably going to spend more time in the 'play/wet' areas than on the rides, and I think Universal/IOA's look even nicer than disneys (Once I booked I also bought him all of the Dr Seuss books and now he is really excited about Seuss' Landing!!):thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I'm not expecting to do too many rides, but then with the exception of fantasyland at MK, I also don't expect to do much there either!! ;) - But thats ok, this holiday is all about the magic of the characters and just having fun with my boys (oh and he is a big spidey fan so we couldn't NOT go to IOA!!!):rotfl: :rotfl:

There is also Barney playland and balls factory , jurrasic playland and me ship olive.
Looks like you are going to be there at the same time we are and we are staying at RPR too.

There are several playgrounds that have both wet and dry areas. Curious George is great and so is If I Ran the Zoo.

The Barney show and Barney's Backyard playground is the absolute best place I have found for the very young. It is all indoors, with CMs at the exit doors (so no littles can escape without the parents knowing), air conditioned, no big areas that you can't see or winding tunnels (so no fear of losing them). I recommend going into the playground just before or during one of the Barney shows. You'll have the whole place to yourselves. When the Barney show is about to exit, get in line for a picture with Barney if you want one (that's where almost everyone will rush from the exit doors, but you'll already be there). Go see the Barney show, which is highly entertaining by the way (and I hate Barney), just don't do the playground as you exit the show or you'll be in a big crowd.

As for how to split your time, that is a tough call for me to make for anyone else. My boys are 6 and almost 3. They enjoy doing some rides over and over. They aren't that concerned with how many different things they do, just that they get to do the "fun stuff" a lot. At MK, we hardly leave Fantasyland. At IOA, we hardly leave Seuss Landing.

We went for two days our first trip with a 7/yo and a 2/yo, and IT WASN'T ENOUGH. The play areas alone will eat up a lot of time, because they are some of the best, most creative playlands I've ever seen. So if you only go for two days, you'll either shortchange the kids, or shortchange yourselves on shows and rides. With three days, you can hit everything in both parks once, have time for sit down meals with kid's menus, and go back on your favorites again.

How about 2 days and 1 night? I planned on doing 1 park on a Thurs., going back on Fri. evening, then doing 1 park on Mon. The Fri. evening will be spent on whatever park we didn't get to on Thurs and finish up on Mon. I guess.:confused3 It will be open until 8pm when we are there.

Do people usually bring swimsuits for their little ones for the water areas and then change?

BTW, we will not be staying onsite.
