2 nights before Disney, where should we go?

We just added 2 nights at the beginning of our Florida trip. It is just DH and I and we are flying into Orlando but are willing to stay anywhere within a 2 hour drive of Disney. We have stayed in Clearwater before and may return there as it is such an easy trip to Disney from there. Just looking for suggestions before I book a hotel. TIA

Homassasa Springs/Crystal River is a beautiful place. River Ventures has an amazing swim tour, SUP and kayaking with the manatees. Im fairly certain there are a few nice Hampton inn hotels nearby, and about 2 hours from Disney. It's a great experience.

Busch gardens is very nice if you're staying on that side of Florida.

I stayed on Longboat Key near Sarasota at the Turtle Crawl Inn. It was quiet and I had a wonderful view of the beach. Also went to see the Ringling Museum in Sarasota which I liked quite a bit.

Instead of a theme park, I suggest St. Augustine. Stay in the Old City, take a ghost tour and enjoy the history.
