2 nights before cruise

We basically have one full day in the parks. We arrive Midnight Friday night Jan 3, have Sat. in parks, leave Sun noon-ish to go to Port Canaveral for cruise on RCI. Can't decide where to stay. Booked at Swan, but thinking of WL or AKL.
We are thinking about hitting 3 parks on Sat - MK (ride SM, BTMRR), Epcot to ride Test Track, Studios to ride RnR and then finish up in MK with the fireworks. I know its a lot. Wondering what to do on the second day. We could hang around the Swan, but its not too exciting especially if it's cold, or we could book the WL or AKL and hit AK in the morning.

I think the Swan is a great location for your tight schedule. You can go to Epcot first thing in the morning, do TT then take the monarail to MK do those rides. Take a bus back to the Swan, rest a bit then take the boat to MGM.

Last year when I did the land/sea cruise, they offered a bus pick up at AK. It worked out great for us since we otherwise would not have had a day to hit that park. They informed us about this special pickup at the DisneyCruise desk in the hotel lobby. We had to call an 800 number ahead of time and reserve our seat on the bus. Our luggage was left in our hotel and brought to our stateroom on the ship. We had a carryon bag that we were able to check at AK. They were completely set up to handle everything for the cruise!

We were at the AK park from 7:45 am to 12 noon when the bus picked us up. We were lucky to get on the first bus. It looked as if there were at least 10 cruise buses there!

If they still do this, you can at least spend the AM at a park instead of waiting around for the cruise.
