We spent 2 nights at the Contemporary (July 27-29) in the NGW as a Shades of Green guest. This is our second stay this year and we enjoyed it equally as much
I was asked to shpw ID this time at check-in. I don't have a dependent card (not sure if one exists for DoD spouses or not)....DH was in the car unloading, so they let me check in without it.
**I am curious as to what would happen if DH had not been with me and the CM had been more persistant. I am elible to stay at SoG as his spouse, and I thought I understood that he doesn't have to be with me***
Our room was on the first floor, 8118. we were overlooking the water--it was beautiful! we didn't arrive until 9 PM, housekeeping was at te door with a crib within minutes of check-in. The rrom was in great shape, housekeeping was outstanding this time.
The hotel was very busy with teenage girls for a dance convention--as a result of all the extra (unsupervised) kids, the pool was closed at 11PM each night. it didn't bother us, but a few people were very upset by this news. so, it doesn't just happen at the S/D resports, in case anyone was wondering.....
the only thing that even indicated we were a SoG was the parking pass--it clearly states SoG on it. I fon't know why they do that....just don't see the need. we didn't hear any compliants from or about the SoG guests either. the Cm's were great--treated us as warmly as anyone else. we had a great trip!
