2 Naps/Day?

We're in FL now (visiting DH's brother this weekend) and will be heading to Orlando (near Sea World?) tomorrow and at Disney all week. We're staying off-site at my parents' timeshare in Orlando. DD is almost 9 months old and still takes two naps every day. I'm wondering what others do about kids who take two naps. We've been planning to return to the resort for her afternoon naps, but should we just stay in the parks for her morning naps? I need some advice! Thanks!

When DD was 9 months old at WDW she just took her naps in her stroller. We brought the full size one for that trip. Once she was 1.5 though (and down to one nap) we went back to the hotel for her naps.

We travelled w/ our DD to Mexico when she was 11 mths old. Generally she had her morning nap in her stroller w/ a UV shade over it. But I guess if you're down in Florida this time of year it isn't too hot.
In Mexico we tried to take her to her room for her aft. nap but only because it was soooo humid.
May I suggest taking your daughter back to the condo say every other day for a nap, letting her get a good one in. She will be fine napping in her stroller. She might even enjoy it more, all that pushing and rocking is quite soothing for them.

Go back to the room for hte 1st nap and make it as long as possible. Than back to the parks with a stroller the baby can lay down in and nap if needed. Bring a bath towel and drap it over the front if she starts to sleep to keep the sun off her and make it darker to sleep.

Have a great trip :dance3:

We took my DS when he was 8 months old and he also napped in his stroller.

At that age, hopefully she will nap in the stroller. Otherwise you'll spend the majority of the trip either in the hotel or heading back to it.

DGD is 10 month old and she just naps wherever we happen to be, in her carseat or stroller. She insists on being in her crib at night but she'll nap anywhere.

Pray that the baby will nap in the stroller! That is my plan when we go with our dd7 months in january. My ds did not nap in the stroller when he went at 18 months..we had to go back for naps. I am hoping that since she's our second she will roll with the punches as far as naps go. It wont hurt to go back for a nap in the afternoon as long as they dont fall asleep on the way:)

Thanks everyone! We got to our resort this afternoon and spent a couple of hours in MK until it closed for MVMCP. Even though it was nearing bedtime she was wide awake and loving every minute of it! Here's what I'm thinking so far about naps:

Her first nap is around 9 am. We'll either have to stay at the resort and let her sleep there, or hope she sleeps in her stroller. I think tomorrow we'll just hope she sleeps in her stroller. I don't think she will but it's worth a shot. We do have an extra sunshade extender, so maybe it will be dark and covered enough for her to sleep.

After going to MK tonight, it took nearly an hour to get there and an hour to get back, what with driving there (15 min. or so) and taking the monorail from the TTC. So it really doesn't make sense to go back for her nap.

If she won't nap in the stroller, should we just stay at the resort until after her morning nap and hope for the best in the afternoon? THanks everyone!
