My Family will be staying 1 Night at a Disney Resort during spring break 2023. I read Check-in is about 3PM. I read the FAQ of ETPE. I have read about Genie+, but want to be sure this is a valid money saving strategy?

The day we fly in, we will be staying off site hotel and checking out the next day at 7AM and head directly to the WDW resort.

1) Is it possible to drop off well marked luggage at the Resort bell hop, head to a park (DSH) and return at 3pm to the resort to check in?

2) When I get to the park (DHS) will my Disney property resort reservation allow my family to get into the park 30+ minutes early?

3) The next day we arrive at MK 30+ minutes early. At 11AM the dad (me) will head back and checkout of the resort. At 3PM I will head back from an off site hotel and join my Family at MK.

It seems this will allow 2 early entries with 1 resort reservation, BUT will the added stress be worth the cost savings? We will not have a car, and I will do most of the "leg work" while my family stays in the parks.

Thanks

It's 2022. You don't have to physically go anywhere to check in or check out anymore. All of the back and forth is unnecessary, you can do it from your phone. "Checking out" isn't even really a thing. You don't have to be anywhere in particular at 3pm or 11am the next day.

But yes, you are considered a resort guest for the entirety of your check in and check out day. The only hiccup is that sometimes buses start dropping off "normal" resort guests before the parking lots open for people driving in, so you won't be at the front of the line.

As for your luggage, when you drop off, they will tag so no real need to mark it. When you are back and in your room, call and have them deliver the bags. On checkout day, take luggage back to bell services and then pick up anytime later in the day when you need/want to.

I do try to take a picture of my luggage, especially anything to distinguish it. I do this before trips where I might check a bag such as at a hotel or airport. This way I have something to help find it if displaced.

The biggest challenge will be getting all that done and getting to the park and through the tapstiles in time for early entry. You can try but it is going to be tight.
