2 more cops killed!!!

There is no deterrent to committing crimes anymore. Prisons and jails are FULL.

You can commit violent crimes and be out on the street the next day. Or heck you can almost kill someone while drunk in an accident and not even go to jail.

Then once you are finally sentenced after 2yrs or more of stalling you finally go to Prison and each day you serve is worth like 2days on your sentence or some such nonsense. So the original conviction sentence is a bunch of hooey anyway,.

Well this is one criminal who won't be using our taxpayers money to go to jail, nor get a second chance to get out and do it again. He is confirmed dead. I pray for the families of the fallen officers.

And many departments are cutting staff due to budget issues. They are dumb enough to make this clear all over the news so the criminals know there is less staff, less money, less likely to respond to a basic burglary or vandelism call and they can do whatever they want. Might as well kill a few and have even less on the street knowing full well they won't serve much time. It's horrible.

thank goodness he is dead. I haven't read the latest but I hope it wasn't he who shot himself. he was a RSO who served 10 years and has other criminal activity....he should never have gotten out in my opinion.

Good

We just had an officer in NJ that was shot execution style by some scum as he was sitting in his patrol car. The officer's gun was still in his holster when he was found which means he didn't even have a chance to react.

The guy that killed him was wanted for possession of an illegal rifle and hollow-point bullets from a December case.

My dh is a cop and this is my worst nightmare! When I was preg with dd5 some cracked out druggie hit him with his motorcycle and drug him! My heart breaks for these familys:( they have no reasons not to do these things..the guy that tried to hurt my dh got a plea deal and got hardly any time at all! they even had him for att murder with a weapon and he plead down!! Its something alot of people dont understand....these familys are at home everyday not knowing when they say goodbye for the day if it could really be the last time.
These men and women choose to do a job that they are never really thanked for, they are always the bad guys and lets face it the pay sucks lol but most of them do it because they love to help and want to make things better.I will pray for these familys...it will be a long road ahead of them.

I saw something on msn.com yesterday about how 11 police officers had died and 14 had been shot and wounded in the PAST MONTH!

We had an officer shot in the face/head 4 times on Sunday morning in Indiana. He's still alive, but in critical condition. Now we hear the suspect had been released from jail a few months ago "accidentally" and never should have been on the streets. An hour after he shot the police officer, he robbed a Dollar General Store.

This guy shot a police officer 4 times who had pulled him over for a traffic violation.

I know! How nuts is that?

How is your DH now? I hope he is fully recovered.

Tell him thank you from me for the work that he does. It's such a hard and dangerous job. I always feel safer when I see a police officer walking about in malls and in the city.

He is fine,it was 5 yrs ago but it is scary everytime he goes to work.He loves his job and does it because he loves helping people...he is not one of those guys who needs a ego boost or tries to be more macho. He has always wated to be a cop...he has 11 yrs in.I think it is harder on the familys though. He has to put up with being cussed at,spit at,told that people will hurt his family ect ect and still do it with a smile. He has to see the aftermath of car wrecks and child abuse and still be a loving husband and father but he does it well:)I could never ask for a better man to spend my life with...

There was also a Livonia Michigan police officer killed staking out a deadbeat in another city. Guy stole a gun at a home he was robbing and used it to shoot the officer. Luckily the deadbeat was killed too but his brother and a female accomplice are in custody

I dont know what the world is coming to when people arent afraid of killing police officers. My husband recently took an early buyout type retirement from the sheriffs dept here and is now working part time as a police officer at a local mall (they use some certified police) and I am glad he is where he is now

They have just announced that the Indianapolis police officer will not make it. His family is in the "process of giving him back to God and organ donation."

So sad...
