2 minutes!

I've had to call twice this week and I have had the same experience - waited maybe 7 minutes the first time and less than a minute the second

Same for me. Two phone calls in the last week or two and under 10 min wait. Don't remember exactly, but certainly not the hour long wait.

Glad that things are getting better. You wonder if it means that more staff are answering calls, or more owners are having fewer problems or need to call!!! Regardless, it is good to know as I have to call this morning to renew DD's Gold pass!

I had to call Sat and Sun and got through right away both times. On Sunday morning it didn't even wait, it went straight through to a person! I was like "OMG that was so fast it surprised me!" The cast member laughed and said they have about 3x more people working in Member Services now.

I take that as a really good sign. Also got through to WDW tickets and DLR without too much of a wait. A taste of normal.

Maybe dvc has finally got their act together. It’s has been very bad since covid. I couldn’t even get a hold of them last time I called. When you press one it came up a busy signal. This was during the rat ride booking when a lot of dvc members couldn’t book on the first day. When I couldn’t get through just to see how long it will take if I acted like I wanted to buy dvc it took 12 seconds for a cast member to answer the phone.

I called on a Sunday last month. It announced a 70 minute wait. After 70 minutes, it announced my estimated wait time was 80 minutes more. I hung up. I called back the next day, Monday, exactly at 9am. I didn't even get the announcement of a wait time! I was transferred directly to a CM. I was shocked to the point that I told the CM how shocked I was to not have to wait to speak to someone, and my experience on Sunday!

I just chatted with someone to check on the status of my waitlists. I connected with someone immediately!

Good reports to hear, few times ive called was typically hour plus wait.

I called this week and was shocked when the recording came on and said the wait was Zero minutes and somebody came on shortly thereafter!

Maybe genie+ has caused a lot of people to reconsider DVC and opened up a lot of times.
Could be something to this. Not Genie+ specifically,, but the fact that the low wait times have coincided with an absolute cratering of park attendance and hotel occupancy. This part of August is usually a slow period, but not this slow.

That is awesome. I have to say too the last two calls I made recently were about 15 minute wait....this was within the last few weeks.

I will say these calls were made late afternoon vs. trying to call at 9 am. (I recall one call was at 6:20 PM/one earlier in the afternoon).

When people look and book for vacations, they want to feel like they are “getting a deal”. Whether it was “free dining” or “discounted rooms” or “buying DVC”. Genie+ has made people feel nickel and dimed already. It gives the idea of “maybe look somewhere else”. Covid happened. People were cooped up and using things like Disney to “look forward to”. Well now they’re told to “look forward” to either: lines or pay more. That isn’t stirring up warm fuzzies. People are reconsidering and looking elsewhere. Disney VASTLY underestimated how people are feeling and undervalued the people like us who are their base. Because when we are not happy, we tell others. People who go to Disney that one time look to the experienced Disney goers. And to be honest, it’s hurting them and they don’t even see it coming.

I called at 9:00 this morning, told a zero wait, but waited about 4 minutes. Better than I can ever remember.

Think they’ve probably just added a couple more cast members but what a difference it makes
