.2 miles to the room, anatomically correct building in Morocco & Drinking Living Seas

Just wanted to let you know I'm really enjoying your report and pics!

thanks for the effort. :)

I saw this sticking out of the water & could NOT figure out what it was. I zoomed in & tried to figure it out. I thought it was a bird, but now I am not so sure:

…

It's the lady in the lake from the movie Excalibur!!! Thats who I say it is. It looks like somebody stole her sword though .

I love all the pictures! It's too bad that Pirates wasn't open for you. It was definitely open for us at MNSSHP, because we ended our night with it. They must have been having a problem of some kind.

I love the pics of the walk to DHS. It brought back the last legs of the Wine and Dine 1/2 for me, when it finally dawned on me I was going to do it.

April, I don't know how I missed all these updates. :confused3

Your pictures, considering the big **** who cut in front of you, turned out really good (better than mine). I noticed a lot of RUDE people this past trip who think the world revolves around only them.

I love the pics on your walk to DHS--I can't figure out what that is in the water either. It's not a gator...as I've never seen a gator with it's tail end up in the air like that.

How did you like Jiko?

That creature remains a mystery. :rotfl:
I LOVE Jiko! It is one of my favorite places on property to eat. I love that I get a whole separate vegetarian menu & my stepmom & John both LOVE the filet mignon with mac & cheese.

I really enjoy all the pictures you are posting, especially of less obvious things like the walk to DHS and the queue for Tower of Terror. It really makes me feel as if I were there, and gives me a chance to see some things I haven't had a chance to experience yet. :)

Thanks! I'm glad you are enjoying the photos. I really love the Tower of Terror waiting area- I feel like I see a new detail every time I visit.

Love the pictures! I feel like Im there already!

Thanks! :goodvibes

:rotfl: :lmao: Ugh- is it December yet?!?!!?

Thanks! That must have been the best feeling- to know that you were definitely going to cross the finish line!!

Sorry I have been MIA for a while. I'm having a rough time with this diet I have started (just feeling hungry & crabby) and work has been killer. I am going to try to wrap this up before I leave in December.

We were seated almost immediately for dinner at Jiko. We split the Kalmata Olive and four cheese flatbread. I loved it- and I normally hate olives.
IMG_1201.jpg

My stepmom got the filet & her friend got the halibut (I think).

I can’t remember the name of what I ordered, but it was a trio of things- and I loved two of them. The third one I didn’t like so much. It was two spinach cannelloni-type things, a spicy chickpea cake, and an eggplant stack. I don’t like eggplant, though- unless it is breaded & fried.
IMG_1205.jpg

The waiter gave us an extra dessert in addition to the one we ordered because he said I “look familiar”. I thought that was nice…but odd. The dessert was VERY good.

After dinner, we called it a night.

Up next- Dolphins in Depth….

I'm with Kathy.....I didn't even know that you had posted on the 5th so I was way behind in looking at all your pictures.

The walk over to Hollywood Studios looked so nice. Did it take you very long? Umm, the creature looks just plain creepy. I wonder if it's Disney's version of the Loch Ness Monster?

I forgot how colorful and wonderful the Beauty and the Beast show was until I saw your pictures. We've only seen it a couple of times but now I want to do see it again.

You took so many great pictures going up to the Tower of Terror. I never notice the details as we go in because I am too scared to look at anything.

How nice of your mother's friend to invite you guys over to AKL. Dinner looks delish!

The walk over to DHS took about 10 minutes, but we were taking our time.
:rotfl: Loch Ness Monster!! I like that...we will have to name him/her.

Tower of Terror is my favorite attraction & one of my favorite line areas.

That was only my second time seeing Beauty and the Beast. My favorite part of the show is Gaston. He is TOO funny!

I LOVE Jiko! Dinner there is awesome & so far it has never disappointed me.

So I got up nice and early to meet outside Guest Services for Dolphins in Depth. It was a group of myself & 3 teenage girls. Ugh. Actually- they were not as bad as I expected them to be. We went through the backstage area & talked with a few different guides and experts (I wish I could remember their names- they were all wonderful). We saw a short film on dolphins & they we saw a couple of dolphins in the holding area (just outside the main tank that you always see them in). We went outside into the seas (the area in the main aquarium) for a short presentation. We then went to suit up & got into the water. We watched them swim back & forth and then we got to do a couple of commands with them after they took our photo. Here is the photo of me & my big, fat head right before the grossest part of the trip.

did.jpg

She gave me a command to give to give the dolphin- without knowing the command was going to be to whip water right in my face with his tail…I had my mouth wide open- and in went the Living Seas…or the Seas with Nemo & Friends- you get the idea. The rest of the time was waiting for the other 3 girls to spend their time with the Dolphins, then it was time to go. I had to hustle through Epcot- through the International Gateway & Back to YC because I knew my brother was arriving soon. I couldn’t stand the saltwater taste in my mouth, so I grabbed something to drink along the way.

Some photos from the morning:

When I got back to my room, my brother & stepmom were there. I took a quick shower & we went to lunch at the Captain’s Grill. I had a tomato & mozzarella sandwich, my brother got fish & chips, and I totally forgot what my stepmom got.

The food was pretty good. We saw this on the way out:
IMG_1223.jpg

We headed over to Epcot after this. Before I begin to explain this day, I have to tell you that this was my brother’s first Food & Wine Festival of legal drinking age. I don’t have many photos from this day…and the few I DO, have- I am apologizing in advance for. My brother actually started with the beer & we walked along-we got a few things along the way…but no food yet. Then we got to it…the Singapore Sling. What a mistake! I couldn’t finish mine, so my brother drank his, part of min, then part of my stepmom’s. It was pretty funny. I knew this would be my only opportunity to get him, in all of his silliness at that moment, to agree to get our photo taken in front of the anatomically correct (or INCORRECT) building in Morocco. I apologize for the inappropriate photo…

The funny thing is that some woman asked if we wanted her to take a photo for us. Then she said “We take one here every year!!” My brother could not stop laughing at this point. After this, we wandered a little more & went back to the hotel room for a breather.

After sitting for a while, we went to California Grill for a late dinner. I didn’t have much of an appetite, so I just got the appetizer portion of the goat cheese ravioli.

I have to be honest that I remember one of these is the filet, but I forgot what the other is.

Then we called it a night because we had to be at the airport for 9am. :sad1: The flight home was uneventful & everything went smoothly. It took me about a day to get frustrated with work again. *Sigh* I’ll just have to keep going back!! I hate to end this report so abruptly…and at such a sad, measly 7 pages. I’ll be around to reply to everyone’s TRs this weekend- I HOPE! It has been so busy at work & getting crazy with the holidays, my December vacation, and trying to fit in time to cook & exercise. I will try to make time for the Disboards Saturday. I miss everyone!!! Thanks for reading along!

"I knew this would be my only opportunity to get him, in all of his silliness at that moment, to agree to get our photo taken in front of the anatomically correct (or INCORRECT) building in Morocco. I apologize for the inappropriate photo…"

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: I never even KNEW about this until you pointed it out and it has me rolling on the floor. Your brother sounds what like my 22 year old son will be like when we take him to Disney (he's not been since he 2000) drinking around WS. I will definitely get a picture of him there!

Your pictures are absolutely amazing and I so enjoyed following along on your trip. Thank you for sharing.

And Happy Thanksgiving.

Your meal at Jiko looks fantastic. One of these days I'm going to have to try it there.

I never noticed that building at Morocco. I'm going to have to point that out to my family next time. I know they'd be laughing hysterically at it.

I've never seen those chair climbers at France before. I've seen them at the Cirque du Soliell show, and I'm always a nervous wreck watching them. I'm really always a mess watching stuff like that at the circus. I'm always convinced that everyone is going to come crashing down to the ground.:rotfl:

I can't believe your done already! I've enjoyed reading along.

I love the pictures :thumbsup2..........as always. I don't seem to have as much time to Dis any more either. I wish I did :sad2:. I am looking forward to this upcoming trip.....I need a break.,

That building in Morocco- I never knew about it until I saw it on the Dis! LOL- World Showcase is definitely a fun experience with 20-somethings! Please definitely take a photo next time you're there with your son!!!
Thank you- and Happy (sorry it's late) Thanksgiving to you, too!

Thanks! I need a break, too! I put your number in my phone today. I will definitely call or text you next week! :woohoo:

How the heck did I miss those updates? I must have accidentally deleted the emails telling me you had posted.

Oh my gosh! I have never noticed the anatomically correct building! You know that I just have to show it to John now. He'll get a kick out of that.

Your pictures walking around Epcot and of Wilderness Lodge are great as always.

I'm envious of you and Dana getting to go to Disney again! Have fun!

Thanks!! I don't know what they were thinking with that part of the building- it serves no real purpose except to offend or amuse people! :rotfl:
I can't wait to go next week. It's going to be cold, but that's ok- as long as I am NOT here!
